Our Guides, trip and safety:

Trekking Seasons:

We do have two best seasons to attempt this trek to Everest Base camp. As this trip is a big trip to you, we always suggest you to come at the right time of the year as far as possible.

Spring:- (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Tempera-ture, warmest weather of the year.

Autumn: - (Mid September, October and November) - excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility.

WinterWinter months: - (December, January and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.

Summer: - Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid June, July and August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek.

Mountain Weather:

The weather conditions in the mountains are notoriously difficult to predict. During the day it can be nice and warm and the nights are generally always cooler.

The weather you will experience on Everest Base Camp Trek is extreme and rather unpredictable so it is best to be prepared for all eventualities. Tem-perature during the trek to Everest Base Camp, trekking up to Tyangboche (3870m), the expected temperature during a day is from 8 to 20 degree Cel-sius during spring months and 6 to 15 degree Celsius during the autumn months. The nights can fall into 0 to -2. aTemperature above Dingboche (4300m), the expected temperature during the day is from 0 to 8 Degree Celsius at spring months and 0 to 6 degree Cel-sius at autumn months. The night temperature can fall into 0 to -6 at spring months (high above 5000m- eg. at Gorekshep), and temperature can fall into 0 to -8 at autumn months.

However, above given chats of temperature are the expected but temperature can be different as per the everyday weather conditions of the mountain so it is unpredictable. Expect the unexpected!

While in Kathmandu and any other cities, your accommodation is at tourist standard and comfortable hotels similar of 2 to 3 star standard and while in trek, your accommodation is at Mt. Lodge and local tea houses. Our entire accommodation is at twin share unless stated but single supplement accommodation is also avail-able on personal request at the additional cost of US$- 200.

In city, only breakfast is included on the offered trip itinerary but while in trek full board of meals is included (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Tea- Coffee). We provide you food from the local tea- house/ Mt. Lodge from en route. Breakfast and dinner is to be pro-vided from the same tea- house/ guest house we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between.

Foods provided are depends on the availability of the Mt. lodges we would be staying but in general, you can have Nepalese foods (Dal Bhat), Tibetan fried bread, various soups, Momo’s (steamed dumplings), potatoes, pastas and even a version of pizza! Meals and Accommodations:

Acclimatization:

There is no way to prepare for altitude other than to spend time at altitude. Being in very good physical condition will help ameliorate some of the ex-haustion that people often feel, but it will not prevent altitude caused medical problems such as Acute Mountain Sickness.

This itinerary was designed with a high degree of awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) in mind and to ensure a comfortable and safe adventure trek in the Himalayas. Staying well hydrated and getting plenty of rest may help.

The maximum elevation of this trek will be reached at Kala Patthar at an altitude of 5,545m/ 18,192ft and the Everest Base Camp at 5,357m/ 17,575ft above sea level. However, since it takes at least 10 days to reach this altitude, it is not considered a high risk zone for AMS.

We have specially designed our trek itinerary with keeping maximum acclimatization days into the itinerary to make you acclimatize but ultimately your response at altitude is due to genetic factors.

TrekkingTrekking above from 4000m, walking will be more difficult because of the drop in oxygen levels and the humidity. At these heights there is around 30%- 40% less oxygen than at sea level, so your body needs time to adapt these conditions and it is absolutely essential to have sufficient time for ac-climatization. That’s why; in this given itinerary all of these factors have been taken into consideration while design this itinerary to minimize the risk of AMS.

Advanced Adventures, Nepal- Best Travel Organizer for the Himalayas

Arriving from Dhaka, Bangladesh, I had little to no idea what to expect from a travel agent based in Katmandu, Nepal. With only online testimonials to base my booking decisions off of, I was skeptical at best of Advanced Adventures. However, after 18 amazing days on the Annapurna Circuit, a paragliding flight in Pokhara, a 166 meter bungy jump, and a weeklong group tour to Tibet, I gained absolute and full trust in Chet Prasad and Advanced Adventures.

II was led by an awesome guide, stayed at an amazing hotel, and even entrusted Chet with my passport for over 3 weeks as he went above and beyond in securing my future travel plans. I recommend the efforts of Chet Prasad and Advanced Adventures with 100% of my confidence and faith in a GREAT vacation. Undoubtedly, I will come back again and again.

Please feel free to contact me for any questions or concerns in your future travel plans.
