The trek to Everest Base Camp takes you closer to the mountain, but completing it with a trek to the Gokyo Lakes adds to your experience of witnessing the 'mountain of glory' from the other side as well. Rather, the views of Mt. Everest from Gokyo Ri Summit and Beyond Gokyo 5th lakes are one of the most complete, full-up, unbelievable, and breathtaking. The trek to reach the Gokyo Lakes itself is a thrilling and challenging one involving negotiating the high pass of Cho La and the crossing the vast Ngozumpa Glacier , which is considered to be the longest glacier in The Nepal Himalayas. The pristine lakes of Gokyo are just something to fall in love with straight away. Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world, stands right in front of all the six lakes of the Gokyo region. Brahminy ducks in the first lake remain there even in winters.. The sounds of Himalayan snow cock will tease your ears. The region has 6 visible lakes.. otherwise, Gokyo lakes are 19 interconnected lakes.Ngozumba glacier - the longest glacier of the Nepal Himalayas ( 36 kilometers ) blows your mind off with its vast and rough terrain. Further, to add to your experience, you trek to Dzongla, from where you will tackle the mighty Chola pass to take yourself to the surreal valley of Gokyo. The mere sight of the Vast Ngozumpa glacier will blow off your mind!! On this trek we also summit the famous and strategic Kalapatthar and Gokyo Ri. The truth is, Mt. Everest is not clearly viewed from the Everest Base Camp and is blocked. So a climb to Kalapatthar is much desired which offers grands views all round. IMPORTANT

Passport is necessary. At the time of registration, submission of 3 PP photographs and copy of passport

(1st

and last pages in a single sheet) is a must.

Last dates to be strictly adhered to. The quoted participation fee is applicable only if registration is completed by the date mentioned (i.e.

31/JAN/2018). Prospective participants should able to steadily trek 6 to 7 hours a day. The trek calls for utmost physical fitness. Participants should be prepared to work on their physically

fitness right away and give the trek the importance and seriousness it deserves. Cancellation clause will be applied strictly. Attending Briefing as and when convened is mandatory.

Do’s and Don’ts 1. Don’t wear or carry costly ornaments / things 2. While packing your rucksack, wrap all items in plastic covers. 3. Carry your photo-identity card (Original), if you are traveling by AIR.

4. Rucksack should be returned on or before 20/5/2018. 5. Each group/family members are requested to carry small Medical-kit. 6. Carry only minimum required items.

Other information Average trek per day would be for around 6 to 7 hrs.

Maximum height gained during the trek 18,000 ft. approx.

Wholesome vegetarian food will be provided.

The transportation from Bangalore to Kathmandu has to be arranged by the participants themselves.

A centralized medical kit will be carried.

Decent and comfortable accommodation in Kathmandu, Lukla and en-route.

The participant should be physically and medically fit and should not be suffering from ailments that can aggravate or cause problems at high altitude.

Submission of medical fitness certificate as per pro-forma is mandatory.

At any time during the course of the expedition, the Leader’s decision shall be final.

Food and accommodation as centrally arranged only.

The team members will be selected by the KMA Executive Committee.

Registrations will close once the target number is reached irrespective of the last date mentioned. Hence be quick.
