FROM THE PASTOR Good morning and welcome to church. I am so thankful that you have

taken these moments out of your day to be with us here at First Baptist. As

we approach the holiday season, I want you to be able to invite friends to

activities and be prepared for all that will be happening throughout the

months of November and December. Below is a list of events that we

will have going on until the new year that you, your friends, and your

family may enjoy during the holidays at FBC.

Listed above is the date of the annual Community Thanksgiving Service.

Our church will be hosting this Thanksgiving Service next Sunday,

November 18 at 6:00 p.m. Many local churches will be represented and I

hope you will be there with me to represent ours.

drop it in the offering plate, so that we can have a record of your

Sunday Night Bible Studies Tonight we will conclude our Sunday Night Bible Studies for Adults,

Youth and Children. The studies will begin at 6:00 and end at 7:15.

COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY The food pantry items for the month of November are cake mix and

frosting to be given for Thanksgiving. If you would like to donate,

please leave your donations in the box located across from the kitchen.

Send the Gospel – OCC Dedication and Collection Operation Christmas Child Dedication Sunday will be this Sunday,

November 11, 2018 during the morning worship service. If you have

any shoeboxes ready to go at this time, bring them Sunday morning to

the Sanctuary before the morning worship service. If your shoeboxes

are not ready to go, you still have this week to finish. Preprinted

Shoeboxes and labels, along with information regarding packaging,

are available in the church office or in the Welcome Center. Below

are the times in which the Fireside room will be open for collection:

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection Dates at FBC

November 12-19, 2018

Monday, Thursday ----- 9 am - 11 am & 3 pm - 5 pm

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday ----- 3 pm - 5 pm

Saturday ----- 11 am - 1 pm., Monday, Nov. 19th

----- 7 am - 9 am

Please deliver boxes during these times in order to receive assistance!

Bible Study on Sunday Mornings If you are interested in becoming involved in a Sunday School Class at

FBC, there is a place for everyone to become “plugged in.” All

classes begin at 9:40 a.m. for preschool, children, youth and adults

each Sunday morning before worship begins at 11:00 a.m.

Deck the Halls for the Christmas Season Sunday night, November 25, we will have a time of fellowship

and service as we will begin preparing for the Holiday season through

a night of decoration. Everyone will assemble in the FBC Sanctuary at

6:00 p.m. Our members and Sunday School classes will adorn our

entire church as we Deck the Halls for the Holidays.

Tis the Season to Jingle and Mingle-First Family Christmas Mark your calendar for this First Family annual event. On Sunday,

December 2, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. we will have First Family Christmas in

the Family Life Center Café & Gym. As we begin preparing for this

special time at FBC, we want to provide a list of what families and

friends can bring for this Holiday “meal on the grounds”. If your last

name begins with-

*A-L, please bring salads or side-dishes

*M-Z, please bring desserts

Feel free to bring your favorite appetizer or holiday dish,

the church will provide the meat.

The Holiday Season has begun, we will see you there with BELLS on!

Southern Baptists international missions efforts. Every church and

every church member has a critical role to play in bringing the gospel

to the world. Your participation in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
