Evaluating My Performance at Each Stage of the Cycle.

❖ Investigation: This is one of the hardest stage of the whole cycle in this project for me. During working on Investigation, I had several difficulties that I had to face. I had a hard time to find samples of school advertisement from internet since I couldn’t find a good one as a sample for my project. But eventually I managed to found three. Somehow I also had a hard time coming up with the interview questions, since I am not a parent and the client that I’m interviewing is a parent. But I solved it right away by coming up the questions which I think is the best. I really put my best effort and a lot of hard work on Investigation. I hope I get a god mark.


❖ Design: The things that I really liked when I work on Design was that I got to design and actually draw my own advertisement. I think it’s kind of interesting since all I need to do is only list the pros and cons and to draw & design 6 designs and chose one of them to be my final design. The whole process is really interesting and fun because I like drawing and design. I think I have done quite well.


❖ Plan: I’m not that good at planning so the Plan stage was quite challenging for me. I thought that the whole process was quite fun because I like to make a Gantt Chart though it took me a couple of hours to finish it. Answering the questions was quite easy for me. But the whole process wasn’t that easy. But I think I have done my best.


❖ Create: Besides Investigation, Create stage is one of the hardest stage that I found during the whole project. To be honest, I had a hard time keeping up with the blog posts to record my process. I tried my best to organize everything and I think it worked but not quite well. Sometimes I found myself thinking that I hadn’t done quite enough. I looked through my blog posts a couple of times to made sure it look good. I personally thought I could have done better.


❖ Evaluation: All I have to do is only to evaluate how and what I have done in my project. I think it’s an easy one and I will be good at it. I hope so.

Specifications

❖ I used papers for my product which is reasonable for advertising. It finished on time and it is made with the right tools. It fits the target audience category and it is safe. It can stand for a long time but it is a bit heavy.


Successful Points of Product

❖ Appealing Design (Good Aesthetics).

❖ Good information on it. (Lots of them)

❖ Attracts target audience. (Good aesthetics for kids and adults)

❖ Cost is not expensive. (It doesn’t cost me anything except for the printing price, which is not that expensive

❖ The advertisement works (It gained a number of audience)


Least Successful Points of Product.

❖ The information is too long and is repeated several times. (Some of the information is repeated and short information are written in really long sentences.)

❖ Too many pages in the ad. ( It would be hard for people to carry around and not all people want to read advertisement with several pages.)

❖ Papers are too heavy to carry.


Modifications❖ If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would have

make a better one since I had gained experience from making the first one. I would have summarized the information about the school much more and try to make all part of the advertisement fit in one page. Even though the aesthetics of my advertisement was appealing to every one, I think I would have make a better one if I was given another chance. I would also want to have more pictures of the school. But, I think I had made a good advertisement and I would absolutely make a better one if I had given the chance.


Peer to Peer❖ Over the last few weeks, I asked my peers what they

think about my advertisement and posted it on my blog. Here’s what they have to say:

❖ Candice: Your poster has a few useful piece information that the audience might seek yet, it has good pictures. What I think you could have improve is the color of the background but overall, it is a good poster.

Do Young: Your poster is very creative and eye-catching background color. Also, the explanation of school is easy to understand. In addition, the pictures are clear to see. I like it.

Do Yeon: Your poster is pretty eye-catching and simple. The color of the poster makes your poster looks colorful and I like the idea how to explained each things in your poster creatively.

Jenny : I think your poster has a simple design but very appealing and informative. The pictures you use for the poster is very nice too, you could add a bit more decorations in the background though, good work :’D

Client

❖ I asked my client what he thinks about it, and his response was very good, even though it’s not that perfect. The advertisement works and gained several audience. So I can say that he’s pleased.


The Impact on The Society

❖ Impact on Society: I think the impact that the advertisement have on the society is that there will be more people know about SWA and maybe they will enroll to SWA. I think it would affect other schools if there would be people enroll to SWA because they lose their students and I don’t think the other schools would be pleased with it.


The Impact on The Environment

❖ Since I’m doing a poster for my advertisement, I would really need lots of papers to make the advertisement, and I think would not be good to the environment, because the papers that I used is not recyclable and not recycled paper. To get the paper, some people would have to chopped down trees to get them and it would only cause global warming and harm the environment more.
