This will insure the vehicle maintains the propersuspension height.

    DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

    REAR SUSPENSION

    DESCRIPTION

The rear suspension is comprised of:

    Drive Axle

    Shock Absorbers

    Stabil izer Bar (optional)

    L e a f Sp r i n g s

CAUTION: A vehicle should always be loaded sothe vehicle weight center-line is located immedi-ately forward of the rear axle. Correct vehicle load-

ing provides proper front tire-to-road contact. Thisresults in maximum vehicle handling stability and

safety. Incorrect vehicle weight distribution cancause excessive tire tread wear, spring fatigue or

    failure, and erratic steering.

CAUTION: Suspension components with rubber/urethane bushings should be tightened with thevehicle at normal ride height. It is important to have

the springs supporting the weight of the vehiclewhen the fasteners are torqued. This will maintainvehicle ride comfort and prevent premature bushingwear.
