Page 1. This lesson we will be looking atadding suffixes to verbs which are actionwords. The suffixes ing, ed and er are simply added to words that end in 2 consonants. There is no need to drop ordouble a letter.

Can they add ing and er to the picture words?‘watch’, ‘push’, ‘pull’ and ‘wish’.

In pairs, children take turns to suggest a verb whichtheir partner must repeat in the past tense and givethe letters and pronunciation of the suffix (ed).
