Enrichment Week Guide
13 – 16 July 2020
1 | P a g e
Introduction
In the last full week of the academic year we are planning four days of Enrichment Activities for
all students in Years 7, 9 and 10 to coincide with when students in year 8 will attend camp. This
will take place from Monday 13th July to Thursday 16th July 2020 and we will be offering
students a wide range of activities that will give them an opportunity to learn outside of the
classroom or in a different way.
Activities may give them the chance to establish, or develop further, a new or existing skill.
They will have the opportunity to work with staff and other students in new ways which will
help their personal development and allow them to engage in deeper learning.
In this booklet you will find details of all the activities being offered this year. Activities offered
may be limited to certain year groups or they may be open to all three year groups. These
details are in the booklet along with any costs and equipment needed by students. The contents
page provides a quick overview to assist with this.
We have tried to keep the cost of activities as low as possible and some are free of charge.
Please read this booklet together with your child and examine the activity details carefully. This
will help to ensure your child selects an option that is appropriate for their interests and will
make sure that Enrichment Week is as enjoyable and successful as possible for them and the
other students involved. We are asking students to make first, second and third preferences
because many activities have a limited capacity so your first preference may not be guaranteed.
There is a Google form for you to complete to register these preferences, see hyperlink below.
To secure a place on your child’s chosen activity we require full payment by 2 April 2020. It is
important that your child selects an activity that you have already approved with them at home.
Next steps:
● Look at the options with your child
● Complete student preference Google form (hyperlink below) giving a first, second and third
preference by Thursday 28 November.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScXgYgpx7AITFotGyMhqB1OJZ-
SecZMQp1atEUcbw52M7grvA/viewform?usp=sf_link
● We will allocate and confirm preferences of activities by the end of this term.
● Full payment for all activities will be required by 2 April 2020 however residential trips will
have an earlier deadline and a separate letter will be sent regarding payment schedules.
Thank you for your support - we hope everyone has a worthwhile and memorable experience.
