Thanks to 3D printing, Tom Graham from Michigan, who have
has been in the Guinness Book of World Records
as the tallest teenager, has found a pair of shoes to fit he’s enormous feet.
Tom Graham, who is unusual tall, has the rare decease Sotos Syndrome. Sotos causes him to have chronic
back and knee pain. Furthermore, no one knows for sure when he will stop growing.
It is never easy for Tom Graham to buy knew shoes at local stores or even on the internet, as it seem it is a
matter of luck whether or not shops stuck shoes in these big sizes.
A shoe company heard of Tom Graham and offered it’s help. They have developed an app that can convert
photoes of someone’s feet into a 3D model that can be measured to create custom-fit shoes made by a
3Dprinter.
“It is the first time we’ve manufactured a pair of shoes this big,” production manager Keagan claimed
exitedly.
With the shoes, Tom thinks he can get a second record in the Guinness Book of World Records. “They are
definitely the worlds largest printed in 3D,” he says.
