Appointment Association to eDoc in SASP
FAST sends scheduled appointment and appointment close-out information to SASP
Surface Visibility (SV) sends container scan data to SASP
Appointment and container scan data is associated to the mailer’s eDoc in SASP

Handling of electronic barcodes at non-SV sites
Options
1. Use FS-IMD scanners
2. Load SV software on existing scanners
The above options also provide a possible contingency plan in situations when SV server/handheld is down:
Situation A: SV central server is down• Backup and recovery•Scan barcodes nevertheless. Once server is up, data on the SV handheld will migrate to the server.
Situation B: SV handheld malfunctions/unavailable• Manually enter barcodes and destination at induction site• Help desk to locate container information. Requires access to eDoc

Post-Induction Validations
Identify eDropship container errors in eDoc and physical entry during post-induction and post-finalization processing
Post-Induction Validations include:– Duplicate container barcodes– Content inducted at wrong location for discount claimed– Container not paid for– Container Irregularities
Post-Induction Validations
eInduction Overview 7
Post-Induction Validations (cont’d)
Duplicate container barcodes – Two types of duplicate container barcodes:
1) In the eDoc: duplicate barcodes before finalization that are never corrected.• How to identify: Validate IMcb’s in eDoc for barcode uniqueness• Warning message pops up when mailer submits an eDoc with duplicate barcodes
2) Duplicate barcodes on the dock• How do we identify which one belongs at the facility?• What if a duplicate shows up after 2 weeks (will now show up on scanner)• Identification only within appointment but not across appointments

Post-Induction Validations (cont’d)
Content Inducted at wrong location for discount claimed– How to identify: Comparison of the facility from the SV scan and the locale
key from the eDoc– During the transition period, if multiple locations are in the Mail Direction
File, then the containers are allowed at the original and redirection facility– After the 90 day grace period, mailers can only drop off containers at the
redirected facility
