    1. Test Construction & Evaluation

This project is designed to give students the opportunity to apply what has been learned

in class. Students are required to recall and use the information discussed in class into

practice by planning, constructing, administering and evaluating an actual test in a

    school setting.

    Steps:

    1. Identify a secondary school subject that you are interested in testing.

    2. Identify a suitable sample to take the test (about 30 students from any school).

Follow up with any permissions necessary.

    3. Locate the syllabus for that subject at: http://www.moe.gov.my/bpk/ .

    4. Construct a Table of Specifications.

    5. Construct 30 MCQ test items & prepare the answer key. The items should cover

    the whole years topics .

    6. Subjective items can also be constructed but this will not be administered to the

    students.

    7. Administer the test to the selected sample.

    8. Analyze results accordingly and produce a written report.

    9. Suggested format for the written report as follows:

    1.0 Introduction ( General introduction)

A general description of your project in terms of the subject chosen,

class and school involved in administering the test paper, etc.

Can include the purpose of this project, what you hope to gain

    through this project etc.

    administered to the sample.

Your table of specifications may have the following details (this is only a

    5. Marks

Based on your TOS, construct the items and prepare an answer key.

    3.0 Assembling and Administering

Item bank - give example for your set of questions.

Assemble the items (Edit and print) - describe the process here.

Administer the test (Administer the test to only one class around 30

students) - describe the process here.

    4.0 Scoring and Grading

Mark the scripts based on the answer key - describe briefly how you did

    this.

Grade the scores include the selang markah or grading table

    a table).

    6.0 Item Analysis

Perform the item analysis (MCQ items only) report all relevant indices

for each of the 30 questions.

    Presentation of the analysis

    7.0 Conclusion

In conclusion, write an overall report on planning, assembling and

administering, scoring and grading, interpreting, and the item analysis of

the exam paper you have prepared.

You can also describe the lesson learned/what you have gained by doing

    this project etc.

**Please remember that throughout your paper, especially in describing the
