Erik Essiger – Chairman & CEOMr. Essiger has over 20 years experience in corporate finance, strategy developmentand restructuring projects across a wide variety of sectors, including industrial, businessservices, retail and consumer goods.

Prior to founding Emirates Capital, Mr. Essiger founded SCP SWISS CAPITAL-PARTNERS AG, a corporate finance boutique in Switzerland, which has since beenintegrated into Emirates Capital. Prior to that, Mr. Essiger was Senior Manager atPricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Transaction Services Strategy Group in Frankfurt,focusing on commercial due diligence, strategy consulting and lead advisory. He actedas Board member of a venture capital company and as Managing Director of a numberof corporates. Mr. Essiger has extensive international experience in Germany, Russia,Hong Kong and Switzerland and was previously a member of the German-Russian co-operation council.

Mr. Essiger received his MBA in Business Administration from J.W.-Goethe University,Frankfurt, Germany. Mr. Essiger serves as a Director on the Board of a NYSE-listedcompany.

Michael Hübener - CFO & DirectorMr. Hübener has 10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, portfoliomanagement and business development across various sectors. Prior to co-foundingEmirates Capital, Mr. Hübener was a Partner at Portfolio Consulting in Hamburg,Germany where he was responsible for business development and M&A transactions.Prior to that, he was with Brown Brothers Harriman & Company in New York. During hisstudies, he worked as a prop trader for Jobs & Lemcke Wertpapierhandels AG, an equitybrokerage firm in Frankfurt am Main.

Mr. Hübener received his MBA degree from the University of Buckingham and hisBachelors in Economics from the University of Heidelberg.

Khuram Maqsood – Managing DirectorMr. Maqsood has over 12 years of investment banking, project management and privateequity experience. Prior to joining Emirates Capital, Mr. Maqsood was Director and co-head of the Industrials Vertical at Istithmar World Capital, a Dubai-based governmentinvestment company. Prior to Istithmar, Mr. Maqsood was a founding team member ofDubai International Capital, an investment company owned by the ruling family ofDubai, where he was responsible for building DIC’s private equity funds portfolio. Mr.Maqsood started his career in investment banking at CIBC Oppenheimer and HCFPBrenner Securities in New York.

Mr. Maqsood received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BS in BusinessAdministration from Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude. Hepreviously served as a Director/Observer on the Boards of Switzerland-based SRTechnics Group and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.

Zeid Massad – Senior AssociatePrior to joining Emirates Capital, Mr. Massad was a sell side equity analyst in CreditSuisse covering industrials, energy and transport within Middle East and North Africa.Between 2006 and 2008, he worked with FBR Capital Markets (Washington, DC) in theEnergy & Natural Resources team covering oil & gas and mining equities in the USA andCanada. Prior to that, Mr. Massad was with Arab Bank PLC’s Europe area creditdepartment where he was responsible for part of Arab Bank’s corporate lending portfolioin Europe. He started his career in public accounting with Deloitte in Amman, Jordan.

Donna Daou – Team AssistantPrior to joining Emirates Capital, Ms. Daou was the Administration / Human ResourcesManager at GFS Investments, a Dubai-based investment company. Prior to that, Ms.Daou worked with various financial services and hospitality groups in Beirut and Dubaiin administrative roles. She also founded and co-owned a hospitality company.

Ms. Daou holds a Diploma in Ticketing & IATA/UFTAA Foundation and EBT coursefrom the American Universal College in Lebanon. She is also a student of Psychology atthe Lebanese University.
