Trainmen must pay particular attention to works contained in this notice and keep a goodlook-out for hand signals, which will be exhibited at the various localities in accordancewith the Rules and Regulations. Work at places other than those mentioned may be inprogress of which it may not have been possible to give previous notice, and drivers mustbe on the look-out and be prepared to stop or run at reduced speed when and where handsignals may be exhibited.

Supplementary Operations Instructions booklet is being re-issued.ND-22D must be retained and used together with ND-26D until this re-issue dated27 July 1974 is received.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS
ION DON TRANSPORT
Temporary speed restrictions may b e.e a s e d o r w i t h d r a w n e a r l i e r t h a n s h o w n. A t t h e s t a rt o f t he s p ee d
restriction, a sign will display figures indicating the maximum permissible speed in miles per hour. Asecond sign will display the letter " I ' to indicate that normal speed may be resumed from that point.
Warning boards are not provided.
Certain signs will not be illuminated when the traction current is switched off.

Where any work involves fixing, removing or repairing of signals, or the protection of the running lineduring renewals, repairs and obstructions. Handsignalmen will be provided by the Engineer to act inaccordance with the Rules and Regulations.
Material may be lying about and disconnections may be made as required.
Unless otherwise shown, work will be carried out as traffic permits.
Although the S notice commences on Saturday of each week, items may be included which are shownto commence on the previous night, and were not available for inclusion in the previous notice.
All concerned must therefore not assume that items shown to commence before the operative date of eachnotice will have been published in the previous one, and on Friday nights must refer to both the currentand following notices.

The existing facing and trailing crossovers between the Down Fast and Up Main linesformerly secured out of use have been connected to and operated from this new ground frame. ( 2 8 )
