Mr Bradley Hall -
All Our Tomorrows
Lord of time, God of eternity, teach us
vigilance in the present,
that we may seek out, be alive and
responsive to what your Spirit is saying to us, to the hope hidden in everything.
Lord of time, God of eternity, enlighten the future for us;
strengthen our resolve,
revitalise our vision,
ensure our perseverance,
enhance our hope.
This is the end of Term for students in Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11/12 General. Next Thursday Year 11/12 ATAR courses conclude Period 6. Next week staff will be preparing for online courses for Term 2. We will be reviewing the first weeks online schooling and some more PD sessions will be held for staff. On Wednesday, Ms Krischock and Mr Nicholas ran a PD through Teams on using the Notebook (and if this sounds confusing to most parents, that’s understandable, many of the staff, myself included, have had a steep learning curve). Most students have adapted well but the big change in learning has meant some students are finding that a self-controlled routine can be challenging. College Staff will be contacting parents on a regular basis looking for feedback on your perception of your child’s learning. Assessments are challenging, however, staff are working on this and guidance has been provided by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA). There are unanswered questions about
ATAR Exams but this will be resolved in due course by SCSA. SEQTA messaging is available to contact Learning Area Teachers or for Pastoral Care issues, please don’t SEQTA message me as the traffic is too high for me to respond - I’m copied in to over 1000 messages a day!) Part 3 of our Stage 15 Capital Development Plan, the MacKillop block refurbishment, will go ahead sooner than planned as we no longer have to wait for the old D&T area to be completed to house MacKillop classes. If we return to normal schooling soon, we have made plans to overcome the class room shortage temporarily. A sooner than expected completion is a silver lining in this dark cloud. In Term 2 there will be a smaller newsletter sent regularly. This will be the final newsletter for the term. I wish all of our families a safe, happy and Holy Easter and for those holidaying, a restful break.
Live Jesus in Our Hearts … Forever,
(Mr Hall - Principal)
Those students who have been attending and have both parents working, have no other carer and are too young to look after themselves, may come to school from Monday to Thursday next week, but will not be supervised, not taught online, unless they are doing ATAR courses. If possible, we would like you to keep your child home.
Students that do attend are to be in uniform, will be distanced in the room where supervised and should being reading, writing, material (or school work from recent lessons). Video games, as per College IT Policy are not allowed. The Canteen ceases operation today.
Easter Prayer
Creator God, Out of the depth of your love you called us to new life in Christ. As we rejoice in the resurrection, may our lives and our work together echo the many gifts you have blessed us with for a purpose.
May all our being resound the glory of your name as we say, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, World without end,
Amen, Alleluia!

Of all the tragedies in life, the most important loss Jesus sought to restore was that of intimate, loving relationship with God and flowing from that, loving relationships with each other. When all is
said and done, it is our relationships that count - let’s make sure we are connecting personally with God, others and even some reflective moments for ourselves this Easter season.
May God bless you all
