With the development of ever more powerful inverters Leutron designed a new generation of generator connection boxes, which satisfy the requirements of PV installations the last gene-ration.

The new generator connection boxes allow for a very efficient installation by collecting several strings of the PV installation at one single point. This type of installation reduces the process of cabling to a minimum.

Projects thus can be flexible, economical and save realiszed.

For planning projects there is a check list in the back of these paper. Together with Leutron protection units can be realized economically.

Generator connection boxes from Leutron con-tain no DC switch-disconnector, because the manufactures of inverters place them in their units. String fuses are not a part of the delivery. They can be ordered separately.

Installation and mounting of Leutron generator connection boxes is an easy and fast process due to their preassembled bridges, busbars and internal cabling.

They have following configuration:

All generator connection boxes have following characteristics:

The selection of generator connection boxes complies with:

nOpen circuit voltage of the stringsnNumber of the stringsnNumber of the MPP trackers

Please note by selection of surge protection device:

nSurge arrester type 2 /class II is used, if the seperation distance to the external lightning protection sytems is not realized or buildings do not have an external lightning protection.

nCombined SPD type 1+ type 2 /class I+II is used, if the seperation distance of the PV sys-tem is not realized.*

Remark: Protection of data lines are not consi-dered because of its different interfaces.
