Christina Salamone collection services supervisor, Quest Diagnostics

Quest Diagnostics inspires action from insight through accurate and reliable workplace drug testing solutions. Employers rely on accessible collection sites staffed by trained professionals to help their drug testing programs run smoothly from the start. Offering an unparalleled nationwide network of drug testing sites, we understand the need for comprehensive, turnkey services that not only meet your drug testing needs, but also seamlessly integrate with your business.

The choices you want with the quality you need

We provide access to a combined nationwide network of nearly 10,000 collection sites, including company-owned and -operated Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Centers (PSC), and preferred, and third-party collection site locations. Additionally, we offer a wide range of specimen collection options including urine, hair, and oral fluid to simplify drug testing for your company, while creating more convenience for your employees.

On-site collection services

Hosting collection events at your place of business makes it easier for you and your employees to provide urine, hair, oral fluid, or breath alcohol specimens for testing. Scheduled, on-site collection events help to reduce employee downtime and enable convenient scheduling for donors.

International collection solutions

Strategic alliances with collection sites across the globe help provide international locations with a full range of specimen collection options to meet drug testing needs outside of the U.S. Our ever-expanding international footprint currently provides service in more than 50 countries.

24/7 Collections

Our nationwide network of more than 6,000 trained collectors provide around-the-clock access to emergency drug and alcohol collections for post-accident and reasonable cause testing. With a nationwide network of more than 200 dispatch offices, we’re there with an average response and collection time of less than two hours. Our 24/7 Call Center ensures proper adherence to your company’s protocol prior to the collector releasing the employee. No matter where we collect the specimen, whether at a collection site or on-site at your place of business, the same standardized processes are used from collection to results reporting.

We hold our collectors to the highest standards of quality and professionalism through ongoing training, formal audits, and certifications. We have established strict chain of custody procedures that help to ensure the integrity of the specimen from the moment it is collected until the final drug test result is reported. These standardized processes enable us to complete more than 99% of our collections without a fatal flaw.* *A fatal flaw is an error in the collection process that is nonrecoverable and requires a re-collection.

Continuous training and education

• Anonymous employee collections each month at PSCs and preferred collection sites utilizing trained mystery shoppers

• Audits of our mobile drug test collection network by dispatching a collector, monitored by a trainer, who provides feedback on corrective action

• Mobile collector field specialist audits and ongoing Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) instrument inspections and results validation

• If we discover an issue, a report is promptly provided to the collection site outlining the deficiencies and recommendations for immediate correction

Creating the optimal donor experience

Providing a drug test specimen can be filled with unknowns. However, for the person taking the drug test – often referred to as the donor – there are some tried and true ways to make the drug testing collection process a positive experience.

1. Schedule an appointment for your drug test at QuestDiagnostics.com/appointment. An afternoon drug test offers the best availability and shorter wait times.

2. Follow collection site etiquette and prepare ahead.

3. Consider on-site collections when possible. Scheduled, on-site collection events can be a great alterative to a brick and mortar drug test and may provide benefits such as:

• Simplified logistics

• Reduced employee downtime

• Less opportunity for subversion of the drug testing process

• Groups of employees tested in one time period

Your experience is what matters most. Our collection network is built with the end in mind, and works to optimize drug testing at every step. With the support of an extensive logistics network and multiple laboratories, the Quest Diagnostics collection site network helps jumpstart the drug testing process with rigor, quality, and unmatched care and commitment.
