DPD, part of La Poste Group is the European leader of the international road courier industry, having 40 years’ experience in the courier industry.

Founded in 1997 (Pegasus Courier SA) as first courier company in Romania offering “same day

delivery” services for Bucharest area.

In march 2008 GeoPost Group acquired the majority of Pegasus Courier SA shares

Starting with 2011 Pegasus becomes DPD Romania

Bucuresti Express & Regular

Same-day deliveries of letters and parcels (with a maximum weigth of 3 kg) in Bucharest and

surroundings. Pick-up and delivery in the same day.

Orders placed until 16.00 for same day delivery are priced as Express (Regular orders will be delivered

the next day, from 09.00).

DPD reserves the right to not accept orders for Bucharest Express service, due to the following

situations:

Special weather conditions such as fog, snow, floods, and codes yellow or red

Excessive volume of orders in relation to existing logistical supply due to atypical situations and busy

periods, such as:Christmas, New Year, Easter, 1st and 8th March.

Clients will be informed of this whilst placing the orders. Under these circumstances, a clients’

agreement that DPD takes the Bucharest Express orders, signifies their acceptance of the risk of

failure of the Bucharest Express services described in this offer.

We do not accept export documents in non-EU countries. Air transport only

DPD Classic International, for NON UE countries, is available only for business clients.

Orders are exclusively set by filling the Collection Request form on www.dpd.ro

Orders filled before 16h00 will be collected in the next working day.

We don’t accept export to islands (ex: - Chanel Islands Jersey, Ibiza, Mallorca, Tenerife), with exception in Greece.

For export in non EU countries , the shipper must pay customs clearance formalities of 90 RON and other related

customs tax. For parcels with more than 1000 EUR declared value, a customs declaration will be issued and the

shipper must pay 20 EUR.

For Import from non EU countries the consignee must pay customs clearance formalities of 90 RON and

other related customs tax.

Estimated transit time is expressed in working days, except the day of pickup of the parcels.

Prices don’t include VAT or fuel surcharge.

B2C and IT integrating solutions

1. Platform for label issuing

It is an integrated software application for online processing of shipments. It

offers the possibility to issue your own transport labels and there are available

delivery reports on different criterias : time, shipments volums, destinations, shipments

weights, etc.

2. E-commerce extensions

Delivery extensions, built specially for online stores which want to deliver

products to their clients, using DPD Romania services.

3. Card on Delivery

DPD offers the possibility for consignees to pay at delivery with a credit/debit card.

4. Customized integrations based webservices

It offers the possibility to integrate the applications programing interfaces (API).

API integrations, available for DPD, are REST and WSDL.

5. Predict 1H

DPD Predict is an advanced, online service that pre advise customers through SMS about the estimated 2 hours delivery window, in country’s main cities.

In Romania, DPD uses a distribution network based on 2 national HUB’s: Bucharest and Sibiu. 6 regional HUB’s Bacau, Buzau, Timisoara, Cluj, Craiova and Brasov, and 72 center & offices

2. Fuel Surcharge/Index

DPD introduce indexul de combustibil, valabil pentru serviciile interne și internaționale.

DPD introduces fuel index, available for domestic and international services.

Fuel Index is calculated each month based on the average price of diesel at the pump, the last day of the month preceding the application, the price that is obtained by accessing the link:

http://www.pretbenzina.ro/petrom . It will be monthly communicated on the website: www.dpd.ro

Fuel Index is not applicable to services that do not include transport. Calculation base price will be

5 RON / L. For each 0.2RON / l above this level, DPD will introduce a fuel surcharge as

shown in table:

Other information

Chargeable weight:

The chargeable weight will be the biggest weight between the gravimetric one and volumetric

one. Volumetric weight will be calculated based on the formula: Length cm x width cm x height

cm/6000.

Oversized parcels:

For DPD CLASSIC NATIONAL SERVICE: If the length of a parcel is more than 175 cm, DPD

approval before shipping would be necessary to be accepted for transport. For this parcel category

the transit time could be 2 working days instead of 1 as standard transit time.
