Dmitri Mendeleev is known for his discovery of the periodic law and the creation of the first periodic table. He created this in 1869 in St. Pertersburg, Russia.

-Dmitri Mendeleev was born in Tobolsk, Russia. -He was the youngest of 17 children. -As a child, Mendeleev’s mother’s glass factory burned down-Mendeleev studied at the Main Pedagogical institute in St. Petersburg
