If you had any doubt that the very best art, theatre, music comedy and film isnow coming to Diss Corn Hall, you have only to look through this season’sprogramme to be convinced.

We’re thrilled to be able to present one of the sensations of the EdinburghFestival, The Trench, a tale set in World War 1 described by The Stage as ‘A totaltheatre experience of engrossing intensity’.

Our musical highlights include the founders of folk supergroup Bellowhead,Spiers & Boden while, jazz fans are promised an extraordinary treat when thesons of the legendary Dave Brubeck present Brubecks Play Brubeck, a musicalcelebration of their father.

Talking of international legends, we’re privileged to be showing the work of one ofthe titans of 20th century art, Henry Moore in an exhibition of 30 Years ofPrintmaking.

In our usual full and varied programme of films, we have three Oscar winners –Argo (Best Picture), Silver Linings Playbook (Best Actress), Amour (BestForeign Language) – and a host of others which received multiple Oscarnominations. Starting the season off with a bang, is Skyfall, the most successfulBond film of all time.

Another exhibition not to be missed is the work of the Diss Corn Hall Arts Awardgroup which will include perspectives of Diss as you’ve never seen it before!

A special treat in our line-up for our increasingly popular Saturday Club eventswill be the visit by the startlingly brilliant and funny poet John Hegley.

These days Corn Hall shows quite often sell out, so make sure to book early ifyou don’t want to miss out.

A sensitive and candid portrayal of the legendary opera singer,Maria Callas, based exclusively on interviews given by herthroughout her life. Born in New York of Greek parentage, Callas first establishedherself as an exceptional singer in Italy, and went on to winworldwide acclaim. Her search for perfection, her unique vocalprowess and acting genius led her to be dubbed “La Divina”.Her dramatic life and personal tragedy have oftenovershadowed Callas the artist in the popular press. However, her influence was so enduring that, in 2006, Opera News wroteof her: “Nearly thirty years after her death, she’s still thedefinition of the diva as artist – and still one of classicalmusic’s best-selling vocalists.”‘There are no false notes in Anna Korwin’s superbperformance… Unmissable’ What’s On in London
