Project Examples– Needs assessment of disaster workforce and

development of collection of resources for library

– Development of disaster info specialist role within regional hospital disaster consortium

– Creation of web page and mobile app for use by responders

– Training for emergency management at universities and in communities

– Information resources for Medical Reserve Corps on web site and mobile app

– Addition of just-in-time training materials on responders’ mobile devices

• Supporting Incident Command Centers

• Participating in call centers taking questions from the public

• Developing FAQs for local emergency preparedness and response and making them easy to locate

• Monitoring social media and authenticating information for situational awareness

• Aggregating and compiling information to support public health decision-making

• Must include at least one library AND one non-library organization with disaster-related responsibilities

• Must target the professional/volunteer workforce, not public

• Must feature NLM resources• Must be conducted in the U.S. or territories
