„Kooperuotos studijos“ (angl.
Mokslo studija (2008).

Service Learning is a flexible and mobile study system combining particular lectures, seminars held in lecture halls and target work in public companies, nongovernmental organizations, enterprises, etc. service learning (onwards sl) is intended to apply students’ knowledge and skills for local purposes and to apply the courses held in higher education institutions for the needs of a district. this is a method which emphasises the communication among various institutions such as higher education institutions, nongovernmental organizations, enterprises, communities, municipalities, etc. sl is not a different study module, it is a method which combines classes held in lecture halls with practical training at various organizations and enterprises this way introducing a student for labour market, therefore programmes of higher education are transformed according to the needs of a district. in other words, during the period of his/her studies the student is provided not only with the classes in lecture halls but also performs various tasks related to his/her major at local organizations.
sl is oriented towards the result of the studies (public spirit, service for the welfare of the society and cooperation with it, pragmatism, creativity cultivation, a practical application of the already existing occupational knowledge and skills in new situations), which require an advance coordination of the activity plan of a team (lecturerstudentrecipient institutionadministrator of sl) and individual work of a student and a lecturer.
sl in a broad sense enables the majority of the study modules of lithuanian higher education institutions to combine relevant needs of a district. the application of this method becomes more complicated when it comes to the study modules of fundamental sciences such as Higher Mathematics, Mechanic Physics, resistance of Materials, introduction to linguistic studies, the History of literature, etc. this method can be successfully applied in other study modules which include practical material as an object and it can be collected by a community accessible for the students and lecturers (at an enterprise, organization, nongovernmental organization, communities, etc.)
this didactic innovation at siauliai university is applied in majority of the faculties and is especially active in 8 Bachelor study programmes: Public administration, Business administration (the Faculty of social sciences); Philosophy and social sciences; sociocultural anthropology (the Faculty of Humanities); special education; social education (the Faculty of social Welfare and Disability studies); Mechanic engineering (the Faculty of technology); Ornamental Gardening (the Faculty of natural sciences).
university scientists have prepared and published a few publications on service learning in siauliai university Press: “service learning” (2003); Gintautas Mazeikis “the Guidebook of service learning” (2004), laima liukineviciene “service learning: Organization and administration at a Higher education institution” (2008); “socioCultural adaptation of service learning in lithuania. scientific study” (2008).
PrOBleMinis MOKyMasis
Probleminis mokymasis (angl.

Problembased learning is based on pragmatism ideas and seeks to solve reallife situations. the core of the contents of the studies is the interaction with the authentic environment. What matters is the ability to apply existing knowledge for personal needs and problemsolving, not the knowledge itself nor collecting it. it is said that the “correct” knowledge is the one which has been tested and has its practical application. upholding this view, problembased learning spotlights the skills of working in teams, the ability to exchange information, discuss, search, evaluate and choose the right solution to academic or practical problem, and to reason the solution. active study methods are integrated applying problembased strategies in the study process: a project, case analysis, concept maps, action research, etc.
ever since 2011 problembased learning at siauliai university is applied in these Bachelor study programmes: Public administration, Business administration (the Faculty of social sciences), Optometry (the Faculty of natural sciences), and special education (the Faculty of social Welfare and Disability studies).

tyriMu GrĮstOs stuDiJOs
tyrimine veikla grįstų studijų (angl. Inquirybased learning, IBL) metodas (tvGs) taikomas Šiaulių universiteto magistro studijose, siekiant sustiprinti programų tarptautiškumo dimensiją. studijų programos pritaikomos dėstyti užsienio kalba, o tai skatina geresnį ii pakopos studentų mobilumą tiek vietiniu (kai atvykę užsienio šalių dėstytojai skaito paskaitas, veda seminarus, konsultuoja; taip pat sudaroma galimybė studentams dalyvauti projektinėje ir tyriminėje veikloje), tiek tarptautiniu lygmeniu (galimybė Šu studentams studijuoti kitų šalių universitetuose, pritraukti daugiau studentų iš kitų šalių). ii pakopos studijų programų tobulinimas įdiegiant tvGs metodą dera su šalies ir tarptautine nuostata ugdyti studentų kūrybiškumą, iniciatyvumą, plėtoti jų bendrąsias ir specialiąsias kompetencijas. tvGs skatina ir studijų sistemines inovacijas, pagrįstas „žinių trikampiu“: studijų, tyrimų ir profesinės praktikos (pvz., verslo) sąveika. taikant tvGs metodą, užduotys orientuotos į problemų formulavimą ir sprendimų ieškojimą, pasitelkiant mokslinio tyrimo metodus, debatus, atvejų analizę, problemų sprendimą projekte ir mokymąsi bendradarbiaujant, analizės ir tyrimo gebėjimų ugdymą, į studentų kritinio mąstymo, projektavimo ir aktyvaus dalyvavimo socialinėje ir kultūrinėje edukacinėje aplinkoje ugdymą.
Šiaulių universitete tyrimu grįstų studijų metodas nuo 2012 m. taikomas šiose magistro studijų programose: vadyboje (sMF), ekonomikoje (sMF), specialiojoje pedagogikoje (sGnsF).
tyrimu grįstų studijų metodas Šiaulių universitete diegiamas panaudojant es lėšas: projektas „tyrimais ir tarptautiškumu grįstos magistro studijos (interMaG vP12.2.ŠMM07K02051)“.

the method of inquiryBased learning (iBl) is applied in the second cycle studies of siauliai university in order to sustain the dimension of internationality. the study programmes are designed to be held in foreign languages which induces a better reciprocal mobility of the second cycle students both locally (when the lectures, seminars, and consultations are held by foreign lecturers; and the students are provided with the possibility to participate in researches and project activities) and abroad (the possibility for siauliai university students to study abroad at other universities this way attracting more students from other countries to our university). the development of the second cycle study programmes by installing iBl method matches with the international attitude towards students’ creativity, initiative education to develop their general and extraordinary competences. iBl also encourages the systemic innovations of the studies based on the “knowledge triangle”: the interaction between the studies, researches and professional practice (for example, business). By implementing iBl method the objectives are oriented towards specifying a problem and solving it by applying methods for a scientific research, debates, case analysis, problem solving during a project and learning by collaborating, developing the skills needed for analysis and research; towards students’ education of critical thinking, projecting and active participation in social cultural educational environment.
ever since 2012 the method of iBl is applied in these second cycle study programmes of siauliai university: Management, economics (the Faculty of social sciences), special education (the Faculty of social Welfare and Disability studies).
iBl method at siauliai university is implemented by using eu financial support: the project “inquiry and internationalityBased second Cycle studies” (interMaG vP12.2.ŠMM07K02051).

PraKtiKų MODelis uniWil
nuo 2011–2012 m. m. uniWil modelis, integruojantis Wil (angl. Work Integrated Learning) metodiką, taikomas socialinių mokslų fakulteto ekonomikos, verslo ekonomikos, verslo administravimo, viešojo administravimo bakalauro studijų programose organizuojant paskutiniajame studijų kurse studentų praktikas. Pagal šį modelį dirba visi ekonomikos, vadybos ir verslo administravimo katedrų dėstytojai, vadovaujantys studentų praktikai.
uniWil modelis apima keturias dimensijas: studento patirtį, mokymosi tikslus, mokymosi / veiklos turinį ir praktinę veiklą. Jos realizuojamos per studento mokymąsi veikloje ir iš veiklos, nes jam parengiama individuali praktikos užduotis, tenkinanti tiek studijų programos keliamus reikalavimus, tiek studentą priimančios įmonės / organizacijos lūkesčius, tiek paties studento profesinio mokymosi interesus; lanksčius profesinės veiklos organizavimo būdus ir metodus, kurių dėka studento mokymasis veikloje teikia jam asmeninę naudą ir padeda pasiekti užduotyje nurodytų rezultatų, o ne tarnauja dėstytojo akademinių žinių bagažui pademonstruoti; savarankišką studento veiklą ir mokymąsi, nes studentas integruoja turimas kompetencijas iš akademinės aplinkos su naujomis žiniomis ir technologijomis darbo aplinkoje; studento patirtinį mokymąsi, nes šiame praktikos modelyje studentas ne tik gauna patirties ar įneša savosios į darbo aplinką, bet drauge plėtoja ir savo profesinį žinojimą: refleksijos metodas padeda studentams kritiškai apmąstyti ir įvertinti savo patirtį darbo vietoje, pasiektus rezultatus; lanksčius praktikos būdus, nes modelis pripažįsta lankstesnį požiūrį į studento praktikos organizavimą: siūlomi skirtingi praktikos tipai, virtualios praktikos organizavimo aplinka leidžia kitaip organizuoti konsultacijas, diskusijas, rezultatų aptarimus.
uniWil modelio praktika įgyvendinama keturiais etapais: 1) studento pasirengimas praktikai; 2) individualaus praktikos projekto / programos realizavimas; 3) studento praktikos pasiekimų vertinimas; 4) praktikos kokybės vertinimas.

the MODel fOr PraCtiCes uniWil
UniWil model integrating Wil (Work Integrated Learning)methodology has been applied in Bachelor’s study programmes offered by the Faculty of social sciences such as economics, Business economics, Business administration, Public administration while organizing practices for the students in their final year since 2011/2012. this model is applied by all the lecturers belonging to the Departments of economics, Management and Business administration who supervise the practices of the students.
uniWil model covers four dimensions: the experience, intended learning aims, the contents of learning/activity and real action of a student which are realized through student’s learning during the practice and from practice as a student is given an individual task for the practice meeting the requirements of the study programme, the needs of recipient organization/enterprise as well as the professional expectations of a student; flexible means and methods of a professional activity which allows a student to learn while working, to get some personal advantage and to achieve the goals indicated in the task, and not only serves to represent the knowledge of a lecturer; student’s independent activity and learning as a student integrates his/her current academic competences into work environment together with new knowledge and technology; student’s learning from experience because a student not only gains some experience or has his/her own input for his/her work environment but also expands his/her professional knowledge: with the help of reflection method students critically ponder and evaluate their experience and achieved results at workplace; flexible practice because the model recognizes a more flexible approach towards student’s practice organization: different types of practice are offered; with the help of virtual practice organization consultations, discussions and achievements are organized.
uniWil practice is implemented in four stages: 1) student’s readiness for practice; 2) the implementation of individual project/programme of the practice; 3) the assessment of students’ practice achievements; 4) quality evaluation of the practice. the set of the instruments used during the practice enables a student not only to develop personal professional perfection at a work place but also to follow the process of achieving the objectives and to critically evaluate the results of learning during the practice and from practice. One of the most innovative instruments is Student’s Professional Perfection Plan designed by two cooperating parties – a student and a supervisor of a practice at the university and enterprise/Organization.

Clil MetODas
integruotas dalyko ir kalbos mokymasis
integruotu dalyko ir kalbos mokymosi (angl. CLIL – Content and Language Integrated Learning) metodu vienu metu siekiama dviejų tikslų, t. y. ugdyti su studijų dalyko turiniu susijusias dalykines kompetencijas ir tobulinti komunikacinius užsienio kalbos gebėjimus (sakytinio ir rašytinio teksto supratimą, kalbėjimą ir rašymą), plėtojant žodyną, vartojant įvairias leksines ir gramatines užsienio kalbos struktūras, aktyvinant kalbinę veiklą.
Clil metodas skatina studentus prisiimti atsakomybę už Clil paskaitos procesą ir bendrus (su dėstytoju) konstruojamus mokymosi procesus: neakcentuojant „grynųjų lingvistinių“ gebėjimų, kuo daugiau kalbėti, diskutuoti studijuojamo dalyko temomis. Čia vadovaujamasi šūkiu: „užsienio kalbos tiek, kiek įmanoma, gimtosios – tiek, kiek reikia!“
Dalykų, kurie galėtų būti dėstomi taikant Clil metodą, neriboja studijų sritis, svarbiausia – dėstytojo užsienio kalbos mokėjimo lygis (rekomenduotinas ne žemesnis kaip B2 ar C1) ir didaktinis pasirengimas taikyti Clil. Paskaita gali būti rengiama bendradarbiaujant dalyko ir užsienio kalbos dėstytojams.
2011–2012 m. Šiaulių universitete, įgyvendinus projektą sOMiD, šis metodas kryptingai ir aktyviai taikomas socialiniuose moksluose: edukologijos, socialinės pedagogikos, pradinio ugdymo pedagogikos ir ikimokyklinio ugdymo bakalauro studijų programose. Clil metodo taikytojų grupelės yra šiose universiteto katedrose: socialinės pedagogikos (sGnsF), edukologijos, ugdymo sistemų, Psichologijos (eF), užsienio kalbų studijų (HF).
apie šio metodo taikymą universiteto mokslininkai yra parengę mokomąją priemonę: BūdvytytėGudienė a., toleikienė r., alminienė r., Bikulčienė r. (2011). Praktinės Clil taikymo galimybės. Šiauliai: všĮ Šiaulių universiteto leidykla.
Studentų pastebėjimai:Pamatėme, kaip sunku specialybės dalykus studijuoti užsienio kalba. Ypač pradžioje, kai dalį laiko skiri turiniui suvokti, kitą dalį – pasirengti dalyvauti diskusijose, argumentuoti savo nuomonę. Nors šis metodas priartina mus prie situacijų, patiriamų Erasmus studijose, bet vienu metu studijuoti visus semestro dalykus užsienio kalba būtų sunku ir gal neefektyvu. Kita vertus, šis metodas, toliau ir nuolat jį taikant, parengtų mus magistrantūrai arba darbui kitos valstybės, tarptautiniuose kolektyvuose.

the MethOD Of Clil
Content and language integrated learning
the method of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) serves two purposes at the same time: to develop professional competences related to the content of study subject and improve foreign language communication skills (comprehension of spoken and written text, also speaking and writing) while developing vocabulary, using various lexical and grammatical structures of the foreign language and activating language practice.
the method of Clil encourages students to take responsibility for the process of the Clil lessons and general learning processes (that are made together with lecturers): to talk as much as possible with no need to emphasize on “pure linguistic” skills and discuss topics related to study subjects. Our motto is “Foreign language – as much as possible, native as much as needed!”
the field of studies does not limit the subjects that could be taught while applying the method of Clil. Foreign language proficiency of the lecturer (B2 or C1 recommended) and didactic preparation to apply the Clil are the most important things. lectures can be prepared while cooperating with lecturers of the subject or foreign languages.
in 20112012, after implementing the project of sOMiD in siauliai university, this method is purposefully and actively applied in social sciences, for instance the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes such as education, social education, Primary education and Preschool education. little groups that apply the method of Clil operate in the following siauliai university departments: social Pedagogy (the Faculty of social Welfare and Disability studies), education, education systems, Psychology (the Faculty of education), Foreign language studies (the Faculty of Humanities).
the educational book, concerning the application of the Clil, have been prepared by the scientists of siauliai university: Budvytyte – Gudiene a., toleikiene, r., alminiene r., Bikulciene r. (2011). Practical Clil application Possibilities. siauliai: siauliai university Press.
Student’s remarks: We have experienced that it is difficult to study the subject in a foreign language. Especially in the beginning when half of your time is devoted to perception of the content, and the other half is getting ready for the preparation for discussions, and follow your opinion. Despite the fact that this method let us experience situations that are familiar in Erasmus studies, studying subjects in a foreign language all the term is difficult and ineffective. On the other hand, constantly applying this method, it will prepare us for the Master Degree studies, to work in teams of foreign countries or international teams.

2011–2012 m. įgyvendinus projektą sOMiD, šis metodas kryptingai ir aktyviai taikomas socialiniuose ir gamtos moksluose: edukologijos, socialinės pedagogikos, pradinio ugdymo pedagogikos ir ikimokyklinio ugdymo, dekoratyviosios želdininkystės bakalauro studijų programose. susibūrė aKta taikymo pedagogų grupelės universiteto socialinės pedagogikos, edukologijos, ugdymo sistemų, Psichologijos, aplinkotyros katedrose.Plačiau apie metodą leidinyje: Kazlauskienė a., Gaučaitė r., Pacevičienė r. (2011).

the MethOD Of Case DevelOPMent, aPPliCatiOn anD analysis (aKta)
the method of aKta is based on the discussion of learning, instructed by a lecturer. Difficult, complex and often vague reallife scenarios (during which important decisions could be made) have been brought into the audiences by the method of aKta. While applying the method of aKta, questions, dialogue, debates, various analytical tools and structures are used, also they bring students into the process of learning, and create an interactive learning environment.the method of aKta is convenient, because real and concrete reality cases and situations are analyzed, that later can be changed into behaviour patterns or role models. the method enables the shift from knowledge to the analysis, decision making, communication and other skills, at the same time making students the participants, of social reality, who learn not only how to know it, but also construct and analyze it. this method allows learning from each other, learning to assess the problem, to make a decision, to reason your attitude in a spoken or written form. students learn to think about a problem, to apply theoretical knowledge while searching for practical solutions, they integrate their knowledge gained through the experience, and realize their skills. the method of aKta method can be applied in various study subjects, it is especially successful in these subjects that are related to occupation. it is necessary to ensure that the applied case corresponds the aims of the subject / module learning and allows to find solutions in many ways. in 20112012, after implementing the project of sOMiD in siauliai university, this method is purposefully and actively applied in social sciences, for instance the Bachelor’s Degree programmes such as education, social education, Primary education and Preschool education, Ornamental Gardening. little groups that apply the method of aKta operate in the following siauliai university departments: social Pedagogy, education, education systems, Psychology, and environmental studies.

2011–2012 m. įgyvendinus projektą sOMiD, šis metodas kryptingai ir aktyviai taikomas socialiniuose moksluose: edukologijos, socialinės pedagogikos, pradinio ugdymo pedagogikos ir ikimokyklinio ugdymo bakalauro studijų programose. PvM metodo taikytojų grupelės yra šiose universiteto katedrose: socialinės pedagogikos, edukologijos, ugdymo sistemų, Psichologijos.

the MethOD Of PrOJeCt ManaGeMent
the method of project management focuses on solving real life problems while using the knowledge of different sciences, and integrating theory and practice. the main principles of this method are: problem raising, managing role of those who are learning and public presentation of the results. While preparing and implementing this project, a student achieves the knowledge and skills that are related to his/her studies subject. also a student learns to apply the method of Project Management in the process of education. the activity of this method allows seeing the wider perspective of the problem, and after the context evaluation to solve this problem creatively. the method of project management induces the interest, desire to learn, because all the phenomena that are analyzed have been taken from real life, and the results are practically applied.
Processes that are applied during the studies can vary in: the nature of the task (i.e. focusing only on the planning of activity but not on the implementation of the project, or focusing on practical activities when you should plan and implement the project, and also summarize the results obtained), forms of task organization and implementation (i.e. individually, in pairs or in groups performed) and others. While preparing and implementing the project, all the methods and implements are chosen according to the selected problem, student’s experience, level of preparation and etc.
the possibilities to apply the Method of Project Management in the process of studies are very wide: it can be integrated into the subject of studies, connect few subjects of studies or modules. also it can be successfully combined with other methods or to be a predominant method, especially in such cases when the aim of the subject is learn to prepare and implement the projects.
While applying the method of project management it is necessary to provide more time for students for the individual work, work in groups and tutorials, because the large part of the processes of project management is performed in the institution, for which the project have to be prepared. the clear orderliness of students consulting, evaluation of mediate project results and process control is necessary.
in 20112012, after implementing the project of sOMiD in siauliai university, this method is purposefully and actively applied in social sciences, for instance the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes such as education, social education, Primary education and Preschool education. little groups that apply the Method of Project Management operate in the following siauliai university departments: social Pedagogy, education, education systems, and Psychology.

BiBliOnOva MetODas
akademinės bibliotekos integravimo į studijų procesą metodas
Šis metodas sukurtas 2005–2008 m. Šiaulių universitete, vykdant es remiamą projektą BiBliOnOva, kuriame, pasinaudojus jau žinoma akademinių bibliotekų integravimo į studijų procesą gerąja kitų valstybių universitetų patirtimi, buvo sukurtas ir įgyvendintas sisteminis modelis. naujas, dar lietuvoje nepakankamai ugdant informacinius gebėjimus išnaudotas akademinės bibliotekos integravimo į studijų procesą metodas papildo ir sustiprina studijas, nes gebėjimas valdyti informaciją tampa būtinu perkeliamuoju gebėjimu.
integruojant akademinę biblioteką į studijų procesą ir dabar taikomi šie metodai ir būdai:
• aktyvaus bendradarbiavimo su studijas vykdančiais padaliniais: įsitraukiant į studijų programų komitetų, vertinančių naujas studijų programas ir studijų dalykų programas, darbą; pasiūlant savo žinias naujas studijų programas ir naujus studijų dalykus, savianalizes rengiančioms darbo grupėms; informuojant akademinę bendruomenę apie specializuotas duomenų bazes, prieigas prie jų; fakultetų prašymu išrenkant naujausių leidinių bibliografijas; sudarant sąlygas dėstytojams skaityti paskaitas, dirbti su probleminėmis ir kūrybinėmis grupėmis tam skirtose bibliotekos patalpose ir kt.;
• specializuoti pagal studijų sritis ir privalomi informacijos valdymo studijų dalykai įstojusiems į bakalauro studijų pirmą kursą studentams; šias studijas vykdo jungtinė bibliotekos ir informatikos nuotolinių studijų darbuotojų komanda pagal nuotolinių studijų centre akredituotas studijų dalykų programas;
• papildomojo ugdymo programos turintiems poreikį nuolatos tobulinti informacijos valdymo gebėjimus arba turintiems informacijos valdymo problemų (studijos po pertraukos, studijų spragos ir kt.), negalintiems studijuoti auditorijose (pvz., auginantiems vaikus) studentams: 8 val., 16 val., 24 val. trukmės pagal vietoje nustatytą informacijos valdymo lygį ir poreikį mokymai mažose grupelėse po paskaitų arba šeštadieniais akademinės bibliotekos edukaciniamekonsultaciniame punkte, arba nuotoliniu būdu;
• konsultavimo metodas ir edukacinės paslaugos nuolatos akademinėje bibliotekoje veikiančiame edukaciniamekonsultaciniame punkte; nuolatos kvalifikaciją keliantys ir savo informacines ir didaktines kompetencijas gerinantys bibliotekininkaikonsultantai organizuoja mokymus, rengia savarankiško mokymosi paketus, tiesiogiai ir nuotoliniu būdu konsultuoja akademinės bendruomenės žmones informacijos valdymo klausimais.
Plačiau metodika pristatyta universitete parengtame leidinyje: Mažeikienė n., liukinevičienė l., Šaparnienė D., lukšytė J., Paulauskas s., Glosienė a., rudžionienė J., Mozūraitė v. (2008). informacinių gebėjimų ugdymas. Mokomoji knyga. isBn 9789986388845, 400 p.

the MethOD Of BiBliOnOva
the Method of academic library integration in the Process of studying
this method was created in 20052008 in siauliai university while implementing the project “BiBliOnOva” which was supported by the eu. systematic model was created and implemented based on the experience of foreign universities. this new method, wich integrates the academic library into the process of studies enhances and supplement studies. ability at information management becomes the essential trausferable ability.
the following methods can be applied while integrating academic library into the process of studying:
• active cooperation with departments that provide studies: while integrating into the activity of committees of study programmes, that value new study programmes and study subject programmes; while offering your knowledge, new study programmes and new study subjects for work groups that arrange selfexaminations; while informing the academic community about specialized DB and access to them; while selecting bibliographies of the most recent publications on applications of university; while allowing lecturers to conduct classes, work with implements and creative groups in a special rooms of library and etc.
• specialized subjects according to the field of studies, and compulsory information management for those who started 1st year of Bachelor Degree studies; these studies are pursued by united team of library and employees of distance studies of informatics, according to study subject programmes that were accredited by Centre of Distance studies.
• supplementary education programmes for those who require to improve the abilities of information management, or for those who have problems related to information management (studies after a break, study gaps, etc.), for those who do not have an ability to study in a classroom (e.g. paternity): training (duration 8, 16 or 24 hours, according the information management level) in a small groups after the lectures or at saturday. training takes place at educationconsultation station of the academic library, or by distant learning method.
• the method of consulting and educational services in a constantly operating educationalconsultation station of the academic library; trainings are organized by a librarians – consultants, who are constantly improving their qualification, information and didactic competences. they also prepare material for individual learning, directly and distantly consult people that belong to academic community about information management issues.
this method is widely presented in the publication, which was prepared by the university: Mazeikiene, n., liukineviciene, l., saparniene, D., luksyte, J., Paulauskas, s., Glosiene, a., rudzioniene, J., Mozuraite, v.
