Tools Required

NOTE: To lift the Desktop tool into the full enclosure, it is recommended to have an assistant available to help.

Attach the left side panel assembly and right side panel assembly to the rear panel and rear support bar with eight screws (004721) and eight Nyloc nuts (003562).

Install the front panel with four screws (004721) and four Nyloc nuts (003562).

The tabs on the left and right panel assemblies should be outside of the front and rear panel.



Install lid and hinge assembly to side panels with four screws (004721) and four Nyloc nuts (003562).

Lift the polycarbonate top sheet into place and secure to side panels with six screws (003947), to lid and hinge assembly with nine screws (003947) and to rear support bar with eight screws (003947).

Screw polycarbonate back sheet to side panels with eight screws (003947) and to rear support bar with 18 screws (003947).



Install handle on front of lid and hinge assembly and secure with two screws (picture is view from rear of enclosure assembly).

Install ball joint gas springs to the inside of door (Item #1) with two acorn nuts (003563).

Attach gas springs to side panels (Item #2) with two acorn nuts (003563), and test door for smooth operation and alignment.



Remove two screws and cover from rear of the Desktop tool.

Install safety switch connector onto control card. Ensure white dot on connector faces away from tool.

Route safety switch wire through routing hole in frame, pulling it through the front of the frame. Reinstall cover with two screws.

With help from an assistant, lift Desktop tool into enclosure assembly, ensuring tool sits on lip of front and rear panels.

Option: An alternative to lifting the tool into the enclosure is to remove the front panel and slide the tool into the enclosure. It will be necessary to lift the rear levelers up onto the the lip of the rear plate, and the lip of the front plate must be slid under the front of the tool. Additional hardware has been pro-vided in case the screws are stripped during front plate removal and re-installation.



Ensure the safety switches located inside of the side panels and inside of the lid are flush, then tighten nuts.

Connect the Wago connectors from each lower switch and connect the switch connector to the control card connector.

Close the lid assembly and test the switches by opening SB3. Open lid assembly, and a yellow warning should light up saying “Door!”

If this does not occur, check the connections and retry.
