OVERVIEW I have 12 years of working experience in the Steel Manufacturing sector i.e. Evraz Highveld Steel and

Vanadium, which is in the process of a section 189 i.t.o the labour law act which affects all 2100 employees as retrenchments / dismissals are the next phase, this is caused by low demand in steel and low import prices from China.

This Phase has now materialized and all employees were retrenched as of 29 February 2016 due to operation reasons.

In these 12 years I have worked in the production areas which include Steel plant, SHEQ Assurance and Metallurgical department.

I have several years of management experience mainly in the Mechanical Testing in the Metallurgical department (LAB) and SHEQ assurance and worked closely with top and middle management.

Responsible for supervising the sample preparation and testing inside the LAB. (Section Manager) I have 3 years’ experience as an internal SHEQ lead auditor where contractors safety files, site

inspections and internal audits / inspections were some of the key responsibilities Completed my OHS (18001), Quality (9001) and Environmental (14001) Management System in

lead auditor through TUV and SABS. Other courses were also completed and summary given below.
