Year 1 has had an enjoyable and successful term 1 at Spectra Global School. They are well settled and have made fantastic progress academically.

They have become more independent and have matured daily throughout their transition from foundation stage to Primary. We have had various themed events throughout this term.

We dressed like teachers, wore odd socks, planted seeds, displayed healthy eating posters and made some crazy math hats. All the students participated and showed great enthusiasm, expressing their artistic flair. Students were rewarded for their hard work with a trip to the zoo.

They had a fantastic time exploring and learning about the different animals. We look forward to an action packed term 2 full of learning and new experiences. We wish you all a relaxing mid-term break and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

It has been a busy and very productive first term for year 4 students at Spectra Global School. Students have settled well into our daily routine and have gotten extremely involved in their academic work.

Academic highlights for students over the term include taking part in Science experiments, producing and editing their own non-chronological reports in the ICT lab and conquering new and challenging Math concepts.

Extra-curricular highlights for students would definitely have to be the reward trip to Aqua Park and the movie day after exams.

We look forward to seeing all students after the mid-term break for another action packed term

We have had quite a busy start to the year at Spectra Global School. You have all settled in very well inside and outside the classroom. I have seen some brilliant friendship form and as a year group we have shared many exciting and funny moments with you all. We are very impressed with the hard work and effort you have put into your first term.

You have shown you can work individually when needed but also more collaboratively, either with a partner or in a group. We enjoyed creating and reading your stories from another culture, discussing and experimenting what a seed needs to germinate and why it flowers.

We have seen many of you display other skills through scratch, art and design, basketball, kahoot and various other activities. We have also enjoyed dressing for many occasions, teacher day, odd sock day, Qatar national day. But most of all we enjoyed having fun on our reward trip at Aquapark.

Well done year 5 you have had a brilliant start to the year and we look forward to seeing how you can progress next term.

WOW what an amazing term!!!

So far term 1 has been jam packed full of hard-work and lots of FUN! Year 6 have enjoyed themselves and thrown themselves into a range of activities related to their studies and development.

In the first term children took part in numerous science experiments related to the human body, and learning about separating materials which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Within our literacy sessions children learned how to improve their writing immensely and created some amazing narrative stories related to the story of Pandora’s Box. Children also developed a passion and appreciation for poetry and created some deeply emotional poems that were really thought provoking and emotional. Children also created some poems for Qatar National Day and recited them in front of the whole school and did an amazing job!

The highlights of the term for the children had to be the Year 6 Assembly based on the environment in which some of our more dramatic students took to the stage and performed a role play in conjunction with some stuffed toy animals.

And of course the Year 6 teachers and students enjoyed a much needed action packed trip to the Aqua Park where both teacher and students alike, enjoyed the sun, and slides and splashed carefree in the warm waters.

It’s been a fun filled term and we have enjoyed every minute of it, Well done on the all the hard work guys!! Enjoy your holidays and we look forward to another fun filled term next year!
