Dear Students, Parents and Friends, It is that time of year again when we start the process of working on classes for next year. The students are all asked to choose 3 friends that they would like in their class next year. This information is collated with academic data, s ocial considerations and overall class composition to create the groupings for 2018. If you have concerns about your child’s class for 2018 please put these in writing to the office. Parents sometimes have concerns regarding particular friendships or otherwise that their child may have. This may be of importance when choosing class groupings. Please note that parents cannot request particular teachers and we cannot provide details of classes and teaching staff. At this point in time, we are still very much in the planning stage and we are using all the information available to us for making the best decisions. If you have some information you would like considered please have this in writing to the office by next Tuesday November 28 th . Dear Watsonia Primary Community, In my first day at Watsonia Primary, I meet five parents, one school council member, nearly all the staff and many of the students. Already I can see that there are many willing and happy learners; parents who want the best for their children and staff who are very professional and caring. A little about myself: I have been a teacher in a Prep -12 College, an Assistant Principal in a Secondary College with a term as an Acting Principal and really enjoy seeing students making progress. I also love cycling! I’m very glad I was asked to step in to work with the community until the end of the year and I look forward to getting to know you and finishing the year well with you. Paul Johnson, Acting Principal. EFTPOS Facilities: The school office has the facilities for families to pay via EFTPOS either using your credit card or debit card we can also do remote credit transactions (strictly no cash out). Anyone wishing to pay any type of payment whether its school fees, booklist, uniform, camps, Bookclub etc can be done so just talk to Sue in the office. We need your help! To support our awesome digital investigation lab, this term we’re running a “$0.05c drive”. It’s time to check your pockets, look under the couch cushions and in your cars .. Round up all those pesky silver coins and bring them to school. Let’s see how much money we can raise towards getting more Bee -Bot Accessories for the Lab! Please put your coins into the jar at the school office.. we’ll post our progress as we go. Donations accepted until 15.12.17 WPS Parents & Friends.
