From Pastor Rita

July 2021

O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, still be our guard

while trouble last and our eternal home. (ELW 632), Isaac Watts, alt.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

We are proud to be a reconciling in Christ congregation that welcomes all

people. All are welcome to join our outdoors, online, and in-person worship

services. I am delighted to announce that our ecumenical worship in

Sherman Park will return on July 18th. I looking forward in seeing the great

attendance on that day!

Our church council met on Tuesday, June 20th and discussed our in-person

worship guidelines. It was concluded that mask requirements are no longer

necessary given the positive outcomes of the vaccines, thus the mask policy

now resides as: “Mask are optional, but if you are not fully vaccinated, please

wear a mask.” I am grateful for the wisdom of our church council who have

given us guidance these past months.

It is recommend that you take the vaccine unless there are outer health issues

that prevent you from doing so. Derrick and I have received our vaccinations

and it has given great peace of mind for both of us.

I would encourage our congregants to utilize the church website frequently

for updates, activities and online church giving (Tithe.ly). Exciting events are

coming up at Faith, in coming months. Please be on the lookout in our

announcement sections.

Thank you for your love, patience, and support throughout this past pandemic

phase. I am so grateful.

May the spirit of truth and wisdom abide with us.

Your’s in Christ,

Pastor Rita.
