Assembly is an important part of the school day when wemeet together as a community. Assemblies are non-denominational and although are broadly of a Christiannature, due consideration is given to the multicultural society in which we live.Parents have the right to withdraw their children from religious education andcollective worship should they wish to do so. Their child can be excused andalternative arrangements made. Please contact the school for more information.

Home LearningIt is our policy to provide pupils with home learning opportunities that areenjoyable, manageable and interesting. We encourage allparents to hear their children read for 10 minutes a day while in keystage 1 andin keystage 2 at least 3 times a week.

AbsenceIf your child cannot attend school on any day, please ensure that the school isinformed of their absence that morning. If your child is late, parents/carers mustreport to the office with the child to sign in the late book before entering theclass. This allows us to account for all children who should be in school. Theschool will attempt to contact parents of children who have unexplainedabsence. Holidays taken during school term time should be limited to amaximum of 10 days and requests for holidays should always be addressed tothe Headteacher.
