Announcing New Branding Changes in 2009 for ‘Business Intelligence’

In 2009, the term ‘Business Intelligence’ will be defined and understood in a more clear and concise manner when discussed in relation to SAP applications and solutions

We will more closely follow the industry definition of BI used by analysts and other pure play BI vendors in the market

Eg.“Business Intelligence incorporates a comprehensive suite of solutions that provides organizations with query, reporting, dashboarding and analytic capabilities integrated on one BI platform that transforms information into insight based on trusted data from heterogeneous sources (including unstructured data)“

Starting Jan 1, 2009, the use of the term Business Intelligence will be associated only with the solutions from the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio

Business Intelligence will no longer be assoicated with SAP NetWeaver components or the SAP Business Suite
