India’s 1st Mobile Music Classroom, Recording Studio ‘Music Bus’

• Delhi Govt. launched India’s 1st mobile

music classroom and recording studio,

named ‘music bus’ at Delhi government-run

School of Specialized Excellence in

performing and visual arts.

• The bus will be used to share digital

educational music videos on issues related

to social-emotional health and well-being.

• It is funded by SBI Card under Corporate

Social Responsibility (CSR).

• The concept was introduced by Manzil Mystics, a group of children studying in the Delhi government

schools.

Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana

• Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw,

Ministry of Railways launched Rail Kaushal

Vikas Yojana under the aegis of Pradhan

Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

• The program envisages empowering

youth viz. 50000 candidates with industry

relevant skills over a period of three years

under the Apprentice Act 1961 through 75

Railway training institutes.

• The program curriculum has been developed by Banaras Locomotive Works, Uttar Pradesh. It is a nodal

Production Unit of the scheme.

• The training will be provided in four trades viz. Electrician, Welder, Mechanist and Fitter for 100 hours.

• The selection of candidates aged between 18-35 years for training will be based upon marks in

matriculation.

• The selected candidates will be awarded certificate in the allotted trade by the Vadodara, Gujarat based

National Rail & Transportation Institute (NRTI), upon conclusion.

Manipur’s Sirarakhong Chilli & Tamenglong Orange get GI tag

• Manipur’s Sirarakhong Chilli (Hathei Chilly) and

Tamenglong Orange have received the

Geographical Indication tag.

• Sirarakhong Chilli (Hathei Chilly) found in

Manipur’s Ukrul district and Tamenglong orange,

widely grown across the Zeliangrong Naga –

dominated district.

• In India, GI registration is done by the

Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act of 1999

India’s 1st High Ash Coal to Methanol conversion plant in Hyderabad

• Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has

developed India’s 1st High ash Indian Coal to

Methanol conversion plant in Hyderabad,

Telangana under plot basis.

• The project has been initiated by NITI Aayog

and funded by the Department of Science and

Technology under Clean Energy Research

• Devusinh Chauhan, Union Minister of State,

commemorative postal stamp to honour Rao Jaimal

Rathore on his 515th birth anniversary.

• Rao Jaimal Rathore, a Rajput warrior general of

Chittorgarh, fought against the Mughal army during its

siege from 1567 to 1568.

IRCTC Launched India’s 1st Indigenous Luxury Cruise Liner

• World Bank group announced to discontinue its

“Doing Business” reports after finding data

irregularities in countries rankings in 2018 and 2020

reports.

• The law investigation agency, WilmerHale, has

unveiled inconsistent with the Doing Business

methodology in the 2018 report

• The 1st edition of the ‘Doing Business’ report

was published by the World Bank in 2003.

• India was ranked 63rd in the ‘2020 Ease of Doing Business’ index, which was topped by New Zealand

Sikkim declares ‘Katley’ as State fish

• The Sikkim government has declared ‘Copper

Mahseer’ locally named ‘Katley’ as the State fish.

• The fish is found in Teesta and Rangit rivers and

their tributaries.

• NITI Aayog in collaboration with edutech

company BYJU’S to provide free access to the

company’s “Premium Learning’’ resources to

students of class 6-12 in government schools

across 112 ‘Aspirational Districts’ .

• It comprises two components, which

include BYJU’S Career Plus Programme, under

which Aakash Institute and BYJU’S are offering

free classes to over 3000 meritorious students

of class 11 and 12, for engineering and medical

entrance examinations.

• Another component is a voluntary initiative i.e Free coaching classes will be provided to children of

Classes 6- 12 via Byju’s Learning App for three years.
