using Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) to evaluate health disparities, access (or

lack of it), to health care, and recommend culturally appropriate interventions. Also seeking

consulting opportunities in public health (health needs assessment, evaluation, and/or data

collection/analytics) utilizing my education and experience in the health and allied fields to help

in shaping effective public health policies and delivery system. My research interests include

public health program evaluation, how to improve the health status of Africans in the Diaspora,

racial and ethnic health disparities, academic achievement disparities amongst minorities due

to their health status, and using a holistic approach to propose solutions to health challenges

among minorities.

2013 & 2014 University of Pittsburgh Summer Abroad Program in Affiliation with the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Taught an undergraduate public health class including site visits to hospitals, health centers and dispensaries in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, and Zanzibar for first-hand experience, knowledge, and practical exposure of Tanzania and Zanzibar’s health policy, public health system, issues, etc.
