Hydromix-P Crystallization Admixture Waterproofing Description Hydromix-P is a powder form waterproofing admixture, which integral to parts of concrete creating a crystallization process to protect against water/vapour transmission, aggressive chemical, and corrosion of reinforcement steel. Uses Waterproof for: -

• Basements • Swimming pools • Waste tanks • Reservoirs • Dams • Concrete piers • Slabs • Underground walls • Cast in-situ blocks • Ground beams and floors • Water storage structures • Marine and coastal structures • Roof garden or any fresh concrete

Advantages

• Hydromix-P when comes into contact with water will form a non-soluble crystalline throughout the capillary voids in the concrete. This crystalline is highly resistant to water and it performs well even under extreme conditions. For example high pressures or aggressive chemicals

• Recommended for use in repair major or minor water retaining concrete structure.

• Seal cracks or voids up to 0.5 millimeter. • Can be used for most concrete structure where the

structure will be exposed/in contact with water later. • Can be used as an additive agent in cement grout for

new concrete to protect concrete structures from water ingress.

Application Instructions Dosing Dose Hydromix-P at 0.7% by weight of OPC (including fly ash and other supplementary cementing materials) to a maximum dosage of 2.1kg per cubic meter. Application and Mixing Hydromix-P can be added into concrete either in concrete batch plant or concrete mixing trucks. The dosage of Hydromix-P shall follow specification. Hydromix-P shall be weight accordingly. In concrete batching plant, it is recommended that the Hydromix-P shall be added lastly into the concrete after discharge of cement, sands and aggregates. A thorough mix between 10 to 15 minutes is encouraged. The same method applied to concrete mixing truck. Hydromix-P can be added into concrete mixing truck on site. Hydromix-P to be added into concrete mixing truck and allow for 10 to 15 minutes for a through mix. When water is added into the concrete, the temperature of wet concrete will increase. Hydromix-P is generally compatible with other concrete admixtures. Hydromix-P will typically delay the initial and final setting times of the concrete. Retarder admixtures shall be adjusted or remove accordingly. Trial batches are required to determine the actual plastic and workability properties.

Placing and Finishing Place and finish the concrete in accordance with ACI guidelines. Superior consolidation of the concrete is essential to achieve the performance and benefits of Hydromix-P. Curing Curing to the concrete is essential to achieve in the earliest possible time the optimum growth of the crystallization of Hydromix-P. If possible, it is recommended that curing process takes place immediately once the final setting is achieved. Waterproofing to Concrete Joints Easy Fix Waterstop and Joint Filer shall be installed between lifts of concrete and joint in floor bays. Packing & Size

Hydromix-P 25 kg/pail Technical Support Easy-Fix Technical Service Department is available to assist you in the correct use of our products. Storage Hydromix-P has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production, if stored properly in its original, unopened and undamaged packaging. Store Hydromix-P in a dry enclosed area.

Precaution Hydromix-P contains cements which may cause skin irritation. For precaution, protective gloves and goggles are recommended to be worn when handling of this product. Always allow air to ventilate in basement or in an enclosed area. If ingested, do not induce vomiting but seek medical attention. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with abundant water for at least 5 minutes. If case of skin contact, wash affected areas with soap and water. Change to clean clothes and shoes. Wash contaminated clothes/shoes thoroughly before reuse.
