DIRECTIONS Ascott Under Wychwood is situated adjacent to the A361 road running between Burford (6 miles to the south) and Chipping Norton (6 miles to the north) in Oxfordshire. From Chipping Norton, take the A361 Burford road and after about 5 miles, turn left into Ascott Under Wychwood village. Continue through the village and follow the signs for the sale field. If travelling from Burford , cross the river bridge at the northern end of the High Street and bear immediately right at the roundabout for Chipping Norton on the A361. INTRODUCTION TO SALE

The sale is being conducted on behalf of Mr and Mrs Chris Badger following their decision to retire from farming and the equestrian business at Crown Farm. Chris Badger’s Grand Father took on the tenancy of Crown farm in 1934 and Chris joined his Father as a Tenant in 1972. Crown Farm now extends to about 460 acres of mainly arable farmland with a further 150 acres farmed locally.

The equestrian enterprises have been developed so that the livery yard now stables over 30 horses and the cross country course is a renowned British Eventing Course. The sale comprises the entire farm machinery and equipment on Crown Farm together with the British Eventing approved portable cross country fences, show jumps and associated event and equestrian equipment. The sale is unreserved and is highly recommended.

SALE NOTES

Viewing: Tuesday, 20th September 2016, 2pm to 5pm and on the morning of the sale.

Conditions: The sale will be conducted subject to the CAAV Model Machinery Conditions of Sale which are shown in full on our website and will be available at the sale office. All prospective buyers should ensure that they have read and understood those Conditions. The act of bidding will be taken as acceptance of them.

Registration: If you wish to bid, please register your details prior to the sale at this office or at the registration desk at the sale field.

Payment: All lots become the sole risk of the buyer at the fall of the hammer. The property in a lot purchased shall not pass to the buyer or be removed from the sale field until payment has been made for the full purchase price (including VAT) to the Auctioneers. All lots must be paid for on the day of the sale. Buyers unknown to the Auctioneers wishing to pay by cheque must supply a written bank reference for a sum equal to or in excess of the total invoice. The reference must specify the sale date and the amount up to which their cheque will be honoured. The Auctioneers will not accept payment of cash in excess of £10,000. Card facilities will be available subject to conditions. Payments can be made by most types of credit and debit card. Please note that payment made by credit card is subject to a 3% charge but debit cards incur no extra charge.

VAT: VAT will be payable in addition to the hammer price at the standard rate unless notified at the time of sale.

Buyer’s Premium: There will be NO Buyer’s Premium charged.

Removal: Purchases must be removed by Saturday 24th September, 2016 unless arrangements have been made with the Vendors. A loading vehicle will be available on the day of the sale, and arrangements may be made during the week after the sale.
