• Critical thinkers need to think in terms of arguing over validity. If there is truth, a critical thinker can not argue an absolute fact, but there can be many valid positions on a claim.

• Validity measures how certain we are of any given situation. Based on the knowledge we know of the information, we draw the most reasonable outcome.

The more information that is discovered, the more one moves towards the right, & the more certain you are of your belief.

A threshold is where we accept the argument.
