Enhance the learning experienceCreativeConnection, together with Panopto, are offering an exciting range of Learnimations.

Learnimations have been created to help enhance the current Panopto solution and are designed to work with Panopto’s software to complement the existing video, audio and screen capture features.

It has been shown that pictographic communication stimulates more areas of the brain than text or audio alone and as a result students find they have increased information retention, and recall. Students with a range of learning styles, including those with dyslexia or other learning difficulties report that when using Learnimations, the learning is more effective, feels easier and is more fun.

With Learnimations as an online resource you have the option of embedded links which take the user to additional information and supplementary digital learning tools. We are happy to create and provide these as part of our service. Links can also be used to record the students’ level of awareness as well as their comments and feedback.

Aside from the classroom, Learnimations are a successful marketing and training tool, with a strong viral element ; we have an average of over 30,000 YouTube hits within the first month of posting.

What Rich Picture Learnimations offer is the simple communication of complicated ideas. The process is to create the Rich Picture first, refine the image, and then animate it.

The end result is a Learnimation and a Rich Picture which can be emailed to or downloaded by students, lecturers or teachers; used as a hand out, poster or any other value adding object. The picture can be provided as a branded PDF in edoc format or as a hard copy.

STANDARD LEARNIMATIONS

Example: Panopto Pilot

Standard Learnimations work on a storyboard process. Lectures, content and ideas are reformatted into a continuous story that is then creatively illustrated with mnemonic images. Various styles of animation can be applied to standard Learnimations from simple stop-motion, to high end computer graphics.

While a Rich Picture can be developed in conjuction with a standard learnimation, it will be a composit of key images from the Learnimations and will not mirror the structure of the storyboard as rigidly as the Rich Picture Animations.

Timing / Budgets:Learnimations can be produced to fit almost any timescale, short or long, although we normally recommend around three weeks.
