The state and federal governments require that students take tests each year to determine proficiency at various grade levels. As part of the Elementary Secondary Act, all students will eventually be tested in grades 3-8, and at the high school level in Math and English.
Students must pass the HIGH SCHOOL PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT (administered during the junior year) in order to graduate. According to the State of New Jersey, the Class of 2018 will not be affected by the new PARCC assessments for graduation.
Students must take an end-of-course competency assessment in Biology.
Each student will take a minimum of 30 credits per year.
Students are requested to choose two alternates for each elective.
