The Player Deluxe Series guitars are built with more attention to detail inthe workmanship and materials. The JG-641 is a spruce top, mahoganyback & sides dreadnaught. It has a slim mahogany neck that is easy toplay. We use cream binding and bridge pins on this guitar which reallycompliments the satin finished mahogany. JG-642 Player Deluxe MahoganyOur JG-642 guitar is the most affordable all mahogany dreadnaught on themarket . The woods give this guitar a nice warm sound that is a good contrast to the stan-dard spruce top guitar. Finished in a smooth satin, the back and sides have a darkened browncolor while the top is a lighter, gentle brown color that highlights the darker figure of the wood. Theguitar has a slim mahogany neck that is easy to play . We use cream binding and bridge pinson this guitar that blend nicely with the mahogany woods. The JG-670 series leads the way with great sound and price. Weimport Canadian Sitka spruce and press it into a two-thirds solidand one-third laminate top. This gives the guitar a rich tone, whilemaintaining the stability of laminate woods. We import Hondurasmahogany that is finished in a rich brown color. The back isgracefully arched and is accented with a herringbone backstripe.The neck is set with a traditional dovetail joint for a stable neckangle. We use a bound rosewood fingerboard with well dressed, nick-

el/silver frets. In addition, we hand inlay an abalone rosette togive this guitar a striking look. Only select woods are used in theconstruction of this guitar. Why use a Humbucker?Humbuckers are designed with opposing polari-ties. This gives them a noise (hum) cancelingeffect, thus called “hum-bucking” or humbuckers.Humbuckers are generally know for having athicker sound than a single coil pickup. They areequally good for both clean, low-volume playingand ear-splitting distortion.

Why alder is our preferred wood.We find that Alder has the richest tone with lots of fatlow-end and well defined mids. Alder is light whichmakes it more comfortable for long gigs, and it haslots of sustain. It is one of original woods used forsolid body guitars. What is Impedance & Why Does It Matter?In very simple terms impedance is the ability to resist electrical power. Impedance is measured in Ohms.The lower the impedance, the more power the system will accept (because the resistance is low).

Speaker cabinets are generally rated at 8 ohms. If you plug them in to each other the ohms is cut in half,and becomes 4 ohms. This is because two speakers resist power half as much as one speaker.

Power amps are sometimes rated at 4 ohms, because it is expected that you will use two 8 ohm speakercabinets. A 100 watt (@ 4 ohm) amp will give each speaker about 50 watts each. But, what if you only plugin one (8 ohm) speaker, will it get all 100 watts? No, because the impedance and watts are related. If theimpedance is doubled then the watts are cut in half, the single speaker will only get 50 watts.

Never go below the minimum impedance of an amplifier. It can cause serious damage to the amplifier. So,don’t try to plug in 8 speakers into your 100 watt amp to get more power, because it’s a trick you can only tryonce.

The violin & viola cases have soft padding, lining theribs of the violin, and use specifically placed suspen-sion pads so the violin “floats” inside. The neck braceis padded so the violin can be well secured. Thesecases come with Velcro-type straps for shoulder reststorage, an accessory pocket, two bow holders, ablanket, and a shoulder strap. A 600-denier Corduranylon exterior provides water resistant protection.

Our cello case uses the same materials as our violincase, yet is designed to protect the Cello in its moresensitive areas. What is the difference between ebony, ebonized, & ebonite?Ebony: Is one of the most dense woods available. It is a preferred wood for violin fittings.

Ebonized: Most commonly used to describe a hard wood that is dyed or stained dark black to give it the look of ebony.It is sometimes mistakenly used for woods that are painted black, an inferior way of treating the wood.

Ebonite: A hard rubber or plastic that resembles ebony.

The Music Link Corporation’s sole and exclusive maximum liability for any claim by the Purchaser,shall not exceed the wholesale value for the product.
