Our Good Samaritan: by PGK Bill Karandos

Our Good Samaritan this month is Bro. Chris Wagner. Chris and his lovely wife, MaDonna have one son, Kevin. Kevin graduated Southport High School and currently attends Wa-bash College in Crawfordsville, IN. Chris currently serves as Warden and has been in this position for several years. He faithfully works at our monthly breakfast each month and has done this for several years as well. He volunteers to clean up the kitchen after many of our Council activities. Chris is one of those individuals that makes our Council function without you knowing he is there. Thank you for all you do Chris! It is much appreciated by us all!

Relevant revelations by PGK Eric Struewing

“Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil” Ephesians 6:10 – 11 Now, during Easter our spiritual renewal is at its peak. Joy-ous, yes, but let’s be real, the devil is still present. His plan is to break up unity, and this starts with the family. There are so many distractions to make our families irrelevant. Many reli-gious leaders including Popes, priests, even you as a parish-ioner, see declines in Christian family life. As we celebrate 100 years since the apparitions of Our Lady in Fatima, let us consecrate our lives to the immaculate heart so there will be peace. Our future faith and families depend on it.

Gibault News: by Envoy Walt Linne

I recently experienced "one of those moments" when I met this wonderfully polite and astound-ingly young eight year old lady from the Gibault school. I ask her where she was from and she replied, "I have no home, my home is in my heart." And, "you are a nice man and you are in my heart." Wow!......... I was momentarily speechless...between how polite she was and her astounding words...words that were more poetic then sad...I fully realized how important the Gibault School is to the boys and girls. We are so blessed to be able to support this school through our Order. God bless Gibault and the children of Gibault. Please keep the chil-dren of Gibault in your prayers and thank the staff and teachers for all they do for these boys and girls. Seeing Gibault's campus first hand is another great way to realize how you can benefit the lives of these children. Tours are available Monday thru Friday (10:00AM - 2:00PM) and last 90 minutes...please contact the Council if you would like to go on a tour.

Financial Secretary News: by FS Walt Linne

God bless you. **** Please wel-come new Honorary Brother Robert P. Shanahan.

Grand Knights Report by GK Joseph Ritter: The State Annual Convention went very well. It was nice to see all the fellow brothers together again from across the entire State at the Indianapo-lis Marriott East. Thanks to all who bought the green tick-ets for Gilbualt raffle. We donated over $1100.00 to the cause.

This month, we look forward to the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima Apparitions on Monday evening, 5/15. We will have Fr Rick from Lourdes giving a small talk about the apparitions. We will do a rosary at 6pm, dinner at 6:30, and Fr.’s talk with begin around 7:15 pm, all for our usual Dinner with the Knights price of $5.. We are seeking donations for the fresh flower we plan to decorate our entryway Marian statue with through the month of May. Either drop by the Council and see Walt or put a check in the mail to the Council. Thank you in advance for your support.

Ladies Auxiliary: by President Pam Donaldson

At our meeting this month, we finalized all the details for the Nun's Appreciation party and our Spring Rummage sale. We also donated four $100 gift cards to the parishes we serve for the Easter holiday. Our next meeting, May 10th, will be at a different location than the Council Come to the IHOP located at the Fort at 6:00 pm. This way, we can have some food, fun and have a very short meeting. If you are Catholic, over 18, or non-Catholic and married to a Knight and would like to join our group, contact Pam Donaldson, 317-431-5239 formore information. We would love for you to join us.
