However, to ensure that the meat cooks evenly, make sure that the meat is thawed before youcook it.

A must when cooking is the availability of sharp knives. Dull knives are dangerous and difficult touse. You could easily cut yourself if you are trying to cut something up with a dull knife.

While garlic imparts a delicious flavor to your cooking, it may also leave a residual odor on yourhands. To get rid of this odor, or any other strong cooking smell, rub your hands on the inside ofyour stainless steal sink. This serves to both clean your hands thoroughly and prevent the odors fromseeping into any other food you are going to handle.

Don't mix unfamiliar wine into your food. Because wine will have a big impact on the flavor of yourfood, a bad wine can result in a bad meal. If you want a safe bet, most liquor stores carry cookingwines.

Doing preparations a day before you're going to make dinner for the family is beneficial if you arefeeling overwhelmed. The night before the big day, prepare a sauce, marinate meat or chopping upand measuring out vegetables and herbs. This way, your next meal will only require a modicum of
