News & Notes from Pastor Tim

Dear Friends, EASTER THANKS! A special thanks to every volunteer who made this year’s Holy Week and Easter Weekend worship services happen! Over 3,400 people experienced the 8 days of Palm Weekend through Easter Weekend, and it could never happen without the hundreds of volunteers! Way to go, Alleluia!

CAN’T WORSHIP ON SUNDAY MORNINGS? You want to worship on Sundays, but work, travel, youth sports, scouts, dance, etc. etc. are competing with this time? Saturday Evening worship at 5:00 p.m. is a great option to make weekly worship a priority in your life! Conor Hughes leads the worship, the pastor preaching Sunday preaches the same sermon on Saturday, and it’s a “come as you are” contemporary service. Don’t like contemporary worship? Remember our Core Value that says we worship God and not the style of worship. Come and See! RESPONSE TO “OUR ALLELUIA!” In March, we ran a three-weekend video series called, “Our Alleluia!” If you missed the series, click HERE to watch the three videos.

The goal of this series was to inform the congregation about our 2015 Budget, financial disposition, biblical principles for faithful giving, and encourage the congregation to increase giving to support our mission. I’m humbled to see the congregation respond in so many amazing ways. Here are a few ways you could respond:

Increase weekly/monthly offerings. Once couple increased their monthly giving by $100…that’s $1,200 annually for our mission.

Make a one-time “above and beyond” gift that is in addition to your annual giving. One household gave an above and beyond gift that totals 50% of their annual giving! Amazing generosity.

Pray about how God wants to use you. One individual spoke to me after worship and said that if every household gave even $50 more annually, that would generate $30,000 for our mission!

Thank you for the ways you are responding to “Our Alleluia!”

In Christ, Pastor Tim

Please click HERE to view worship volunteer needs and to sign up. If you are able to serve in May, please sign up as soon as possible. We still have some openings!

We are in great need of someone to “click through” the 5pm PowerPoint service slides. If you attend 5pm, please consider volunteering on a part-time basis.

All Summer Month Sign-Ups are currently online. Once you know your summer plans, you are encouraged to sign up. What a blessing it would be if all of you could serve at some point this summer!

We hope that all those who attend the 11:30am worship during the school year, will now join us for the 5pm, 9am or 10:15am worship service this summer. You are welcome to volunteer as well!

Please prayerfully consider serving. Hospitality areas are great opportunities to serve as a family! You can sign up for specific dates you will be there for the Lector or Hospitality spots. Communion Serving and Ushering are

scheduled by the month, but we can get coverage for you if you need to be gone.
