including all its potential locations

for wind power plants in the scope

of cooperation.

Z02, ZD3 and Z06 wind power

plants in Zadar County are

projects in which Oalekovod

participates as both contractor

and investor. Upon finishing the construction of wind power

plants Z02 and ZD3. the power of

all three wind power plants will

amount to 46 MW.

In order to achieve a more precise wind

speed measurement as a basis for a

high-grade w.nd potential analysis and

consequently a realistic assessment

of electriCity production and project

developed its own so. 8o and too m high wind speed monitoring towers.

The wind characteristics are measured

at several heights in accordance with the requirements of the tower

beneficiary. The beneficiary selects

the desired number of consoles and

measurement instruments.

The story about design began about 60 years ago, in 1949. when a relatively

modest team of experts started constructing electric power facilities in the recently established company DALEEKOVOD. The proper prepara tion

of project documentation was the first challenge faced by the young

company, which had the task of taking on demanding construction and design projects in the period after World War II.

As the potential of the company expanded, the range of business activities expanded as welt, including design services of substations and switchyards, underground cables, contact networks, cableways, antenna masts and

other electric power and telecommunication facilities.

The design division, with aU its potentials and references, was separated

from DALEKOVOD in 2007 into the company Dalekovod Projekt d.o.o., which

became an independent legal entity registered for design, supervision, consulting and engineering activities.

Dalekovod Projekt d.o.o. currently has 90 employees. Most are licensed

architects and engineers of various professions, primarily electr ical and construction engineers, but also surveyors, geology and traffic engineers.

Owing to its references and experience. Datekovod Projekt d.o.o. today has at its disposal highly professional project teams specialised in aU services related to its branch of activity.

Throughout its his tory the company carried out numerous projects various in complexity and size - from transmission lines and substations to telecommunication antenna masts, production halls, sports halls, schools,

buildings, municipal infrastructure buildings, solar power plants - which bears witness to the company"s professionalism in design. supervision, consulting and engineering.

Dalekovod Proizvodnja d.o.o. was established on November 1st 2011 by separating the

factoryVeUka Gorica from DALEKOVOD and incorporating Dalekovod Cincaonica d.o.o. into

a separate company for production and galvanizing with the following business units:

• Metal Construction Factory

• Factory for anti-corrosion protection - CinCaonica !galvanizing plant and the new lacquer plant!

• Support and logistics division.

The goat of the above separation, besides rationalization of business, is the specialization

of individual companies on product groups and focusing on strategic products which meet

market requirements.

Dalekovod Proizvodnja d.o.o. has established and applied the management system: ISO

9001:2000, 150 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001, EN 1090 and DIN 18800.

As a part of the entity Oalekovod Proizvodnja d.o.o., the Suspension and Jointing Equipment Factory offers all kinds of accessories for suspension and tension insulator strings (composite, glass or rod insulators !ceramic), for hanging and suspension protective strings and optical cables. and conductor accessories as follows:

• Steel forged items (shackles, ball fi ttings. socket fi ttings. clevises, hinges, eyes, turnbuckles, U-bolts, etc.l

• Steel sheet fittings (yokes, extension links, hinges, adjustable extension tinks, sag adjustersl

• Protection devices such as corona rings, a rcing rings and horns • All kinds of suspension clamps such as the trunnion type, with a ttachment point below

and above the centre of the conductor well as helical grip suspension clamp (HGSI with armour rods suitable for OPGW

• All kinds of tension clamps !compression clamps, bolted clamps, wedge-shaped clamps, mid span joints , spiral tension clamps for OPGW]

• Other conductor equipment (PG clamps, "bretelle" clamps, Stockbridge d umpers, spacer dampers, rigid and semi-rigid spacers, warning spheres, tension dead and spirals , repair spirals and repair sleeves, etc.)

Suspension equipment is produced in accordance with applicable international standards (IEC 61284. BS 3288. IEC 61897. ISO 1461, ASTM A153 etc.l.

The factory has all technology necessary for production !casting of non-ferrous metals, forging of non-ferrous metals and steel, machine processing , metal sheet procession using deformation. welding, hot galvanization. as well as own designing and tools making). as well as a modern machine park and a certified mechanical laboratory (HRN ISO/IEC 17025:20001 for operation control with a view to sustaining the necessary level of quality. Furthermore, the factory offers a high level of flexibility in its production by offering s tandardized products as well as products that meet specific buyer and market requirements.

The annual production capacity is more than 6.000 tons of jointing equipment.

The Metal Construction Factory succeeded the Factory VeUka Gorica which operated

within the company Dalekovod d.d. till November tst 20tt. and by the separation it became

an integral part of Dalekovod ProiZIIOdnja d.o.o.

Factory for anti-corrosion

protection

Within the Factory for anti-corrosion protection is the Galvanizing plant which was officially commissioned in 2003 and its core business is providing anti-corrosive protect ion of steel by apply1ng the hot-dip galvanizing process.

The production capacity comprises a discontinued galvanization faciUty and a facility for automatic galvanization using a centrifugal system. Approximately 50'!1. of the galvanizing plant capacity is used for equipment manufactured by DALEKOVOD and the remaining capacity is used by other metal processing companies.

The galvanizing plant consists of the most sophisticated galvanizing facilities:

• Galvanizing facility for bolts and small items requiring centrifugation: anticipated as a closed and fully automated faciUty with a galvanizing bath 3000xtOOOxt500 mm

• Galvanizing facility for larger items: anticipated is a galvanizing line with baths 13000x1800x2800 mm.

The capacity of the Galvanizing plant amounts to 31.000 t of various types of products annually.

Dalekovod Proizvodnja d.o.o. has the certificates ISO 9001. ISO 14001, OHSAS18001, EN 1090 and DIN 18800.

The Lacquer plant operates within Oalekovod Proizvodnja d.o.o. and its core business is painting and repair works of constructions !stationary or on site) and the duplex system of anti-corrosive protection.

For the preparation procedure of steel and hot galvanized surfaces different technologies are used:

• Preparation of steel surfaces by abrasive cleaning in accordance with the standard ISO 8501-1 . manually or automated (th rough shot blasting)

• Dry abrasive cleaning by using abrasives such as: grit. corundum, quartz sand and steel shot - in order to achieve Sa 1, Sa 2. Sa 2112 and Sa 3 q uality;

• Preparation of steel surfaces by using mechanical tools, in accordance with standard ISO 8501-1 - in order to achieve preparation quality St 1, St 2 and St 3: and

• Dry abrasive roughening of hot galvanized surfaces (-sweep blasting-) by using non-metal abrasives.

The coating application is done as follows:

• -Airless" coating- by using highly sophis ticated devices, mostly epoxy, PUR or water-based coatings, respectively in accordance with the investor's request

• Air coating and • Manually - by using brushes and rollers.

Oalekovod TIM d.d .. Tvomica istegnutih metala (Expanded Metal Factory) in T opusko is doing business since 1961.

Before the Homeland War the company numbered round 500 employees and it was a s ignificant manufacturer for the domestic and international market.

After the Operation Storm, the production was restarted and the privatization process carried out.

Oalekovod TIM d.d. is currently an autonomous factory within the DALEKOVOO Group numbering round 100 employees. The complete production programme has been renewed and production tor the foreign markets was initiated. The factory is specialized in the

- Roads programme-. i.e. the production of guard rails and protective fences as well as gantries. The factory 's basic product is expanded metal. i.e. mesh made of expanded metal such as steel, aluminium, copper and similar. Meshes made from expanded metal are used for multi­purpose fencing (for fencing gardens. yards, residential facilities, balconies and similar) as well as for industrial barriers.

The production programme also includes supporting columns of various d imensions which are essential for any larger construction project, lattice treads in requested dimensions and shapes are produced for industrial plants. For fencing highways following products are manufactured: guard rails for motorways

(one-sided and double-sided distance barriers for roads and for structures such as bridges. overpasses and similar), pedestrian and protective fences on structures and prefabricated mobile barriers for temporary fencing.

The assortment also includes steel pylons tor wire barriers and columns for vineyards. The presses can manufacture various cross-sections IU. C. Lt in various dimensions.

Within the total manufacturing framework of the DALEKOVOO Group (approx. 30.000 tons annually) Dalekovod TIM d.d. contributes with approx. 7.500 tons of various steel products.

Oalekovod TKS a.d., Ooboj, Factory lor construct ions and poles. has been a member of the OALEKOVOO Group since 2004 and its major shareholder is OALEKOVOO Zagreb.

The factory was founded in 1972 as a specialized factory lor the production of transmission lines and other structures with a hot-dip galvanized pnotective surface. By manufacturing transmission tine towers and masts for many countries wortdwide. the company has gained a stnong reputation and the trust of business partners. Since 1982 the factory has been

engaged on the production of vertical transportation devices (cableways and ski Ults) which makes up lor a significant part of the production programme. along with transmission line masts and Ughting poles.

Today Oalekovod TKS a.d. Ooboj is a factory specialized in manufacturing pylons and structures for electric power industry and telecommunications and equipment for highways and railways including the protection of products by applying the hot-dip galvanization pnocedure in

Ougo Selo, Republic of Croatia. Within the total manufacturing framework of the DALEKOVOO Gnoup (appnox. 30.000 tons annually), Dalekovod TKS a.d. Ooboj contributes with approx. 7000 tons of various steel products. The major products are steel lattice constructions for various purposes and polygonal transmission and antenna pylons.

Dalekovod TKS a.d. has the certificate from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Umited za ISO 9001.

The company Unidal d.o.o. was founded in 2005 as a joint company of OALEKOVOO Zagreb, (Croatia) and Unior d.d. Zr-Ke. (Slovenia). The company originated from blacksmith workshop which started its activities at the beginning of the previous century, and in the period fnom 1963 till 2005 the company operated as a production unit of OALEKOVOO Zagreb.

The core business of the company is the production of hot forged forgings within the foUowing pnoduction programme:

• Pnoduction of forgings lor suspension and jointing equipment for aU types of transmission lines up to 500 kV

• Production of forgings lor the electrification of railway lines

• Production of forgings lor the automobile industry (forgings lor control mechanisms of motor vehides and various undercarriage suspension elements)

• Production of all other types of multi-purpose forgings.

Fove forge generator units produce around 250 t of forgings monthly, masses fnom 0,1 to 2 kg lin certain cases up to 5 kg depending on the forging shape and dimension). The production is taking place with free-falling and air hammers, energy 1500 to 3900 kpm, friction presses and horizontal forging machines

The production of forgings Is carried out in compliance with the requirements of IS09001:2000 International standard. The ISO TS 16949 for automobile industry Is established.

Within the firm Velika Popina d.o.o .. till now. o ne wind farm ZD6 was constructed, and upon finishing the construction of wind power plants ZD2 a nd ZD3 in the Zada r province within the firm EKO d.o.o. [where Dalekovod is both the investor and the constructor! their total power will a mount to 46 MW.

The final goal of this mini group of companies is preparing and constructing renewable energy sources projects in compliance with positive reg ulations of the Republic of Croatia by taking maximum care of the environment. _,

The company Oalekovod EMU d.o.o. was estabUshed in 2009 with headquarters in Vela Luka on the island of Korcula. Its business operations are run in the offices in Vela Luka and Zagreb, at the address Marijana Cavica 4.

However. the company's history goes back to 1997 when it was established as EL - RA d.o.o .. The company was specialized in manufacturing and selling devices tor measuring electric power consumption. By acquiring its business shares, Dalekovod d.d. Zagreb became the sole owner of the company EL - RA d.o.o .. and the company was converted into Dalekovod EMU d.o.o. for production. trade and services.

The company's e mployees meet all technical-technological requirements tor carrying out

the above activities. Dalekovod EMU d.o.o. offers a complete range of measuring devices for d iffere nt purposes manufactured by the globally renowned company Landis•Gyr. As the regional partner of Landis • Gyr. it offers the market high-quality and complete solutions related to · smart measure ment· options.

Dalekovod Laboratory is a separate organizational unit of Dalekovod d.d. founded in t963 and has since initiated development and research projects. Within its scope of business Dalekovod Laboratory is an autonomous organizational unit under the supervision of independent external auditing institutions.

Dalekovod Laboratory performs different kinds of tests as follows: visual. dimensional. m~chanical, electrical and wear-and-tear tests of suspension and jointing eqUipment for transmission lines, substations and other electric power facilities: chemical magnetic and other tests of galvanized surface quality and hardness: tests of mechanical properties and rigidity of metal materials: testing of tension cranes: tests on the compression s trength of concrete: noise and lightning levels: rubber. bolts and nuts hardness: chemical composition of ferrous and non-ferrous metals: control and filling up of fire extinguishers: as well as testing and inspection of work environment, equipment and devices.

The Laboratory also performs following tests: mechanical testing of towers and other metal structures: tests of weld quality by using ultrasound. magnetic and penetration methods: mechanical and electrical

testing of railroad equipment: measurement of vibrations and tests of damping devices: measuring product and structure deformations by the strain gage method: measurement, calculation and evaluation of low frequency and high frequency electromagnetic fields: as well as the control of casting and welding technological processes.

Dalekovod Laboratory is accredited by the Croatian Accreditation Agency in accordance with standard HRN EN lSOJlEC t7025:2007. The Laboratory also obtained an authorization certificate from the Croatian Telecommunications Agency IHATI for measuring high­frequency electromagnetic fields in a frequency band ranging from 75 MHz to 3.000 MHz and calculating high-frequency electromagnetic fields in a frequency band ranging from too kHz to 3.000 MHz. In compliance with Croatian laws. Dalekovod Labora tory performs tests, inspections, trainings and

services related to safety and health at work and training of employees with regard to safe work and fire protection.

DALEKOVOD has provided equipment for 49 tunnels in the Republic of Croatia with a total length of 80 473 m.

According to the Report on inspection and evaluation of tunnels in the EU countries, from the aspect of risk and tunnel equipment safety, issued by the EUROTAP organization - European Tunnel Assessment programme. the tunnels Javorova kosa. Plasina, Gric, Mala Kapela and Brinje received the best ratings in competition with 152 tunnels from 18 European countries in the period 2005 to 2007.

In 2003 DALEKOVOD provided equipment for the tunnel Sveti Rok (L•5661 MI. and in 2005 for the tunnel Mala Kapela as well ll•5760 ml while in 2009 the equipping of the other tubes of tunnels Sveti Rok (L•5661 ml and Mala Kapela (L•5760 m) was finished.
