There are 5 plays designed to score vs. man-to-man defense and 3 designed to score vs. zone defense. Hopefully one of the plays may serve as a counter to an action that you already run and might be an adjust- ment for your team as you head into post-season play. The following teaching points were taken from Kevin Eastman's clinic discussion on post play and post development. I encour- age all coaches to attend this summer's CoachingU Live. - Last time out, senior guard Daishon Knight led Illinois State with 21 points against Loyola, as the Redbirds (17-11, 9-7 MVC) pulled away for a 67-60 victory over the Ramblers (16-12, 6-10 MVC) on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.

- Knight led a trio of Redbirds in double figures with his game-high 21 points, marking his seventh game of the season with 20 or more points. DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell finished with 14 points and seven rebounds and MiKyle McIntosh added 10 points and eight boards for the Redbirds in the victory over the Ramblers.

- Illinois State closes out the home portion of its regular-season schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 25, versus Southern Illinois on Senior Night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

- The Illinois State men's basketball team will play in the 2015 Cancun Challenge, including two games in Normal, Illinois, and two games at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya near Cancun, Mexico, Nov. 24 and 25.

- The Redbirds join fellow host-schools Maryland (currently ranked No. 19 in the country, from the Big 10 Conference), Rhode Island (A-10 Con-ference) and TCU (Big 12 Conference).

- The Cancun Challenge's four travel teams and the 2015 tournament brack-et will be announced at a later date. Both games in Mexico are scheduled to be nationally televised live on CBS Sports Network.

- Illinois State is playing in the Cancun challenge for the second time. In 2011, the Redbirds finished 3-1, with their lone loss coming to in-state rival Illinois in the champion-ship game, 63-59.
