Dear Legend Oaks Members and Families,Welcome to our 1st digital edition of 2018 Club News.
We closed 2017 with our Member Christmas partywhich was a fabulous and fun night with anothergreat turnout of almost 150 members. Chef Mike andTheresia did a great job with everything and theweather was wonderful. Be sure to stop by theclubhouse and pickup your 2017 Christmas orna-ment which is complimentary to every member fam-ily, if you haven’t already done so.
We are very excited about the golf program for 2018!We should have the new indoor training center com-pleted by the end of January, while we await springand warmer weather to finish the driving range. Wewill be offering a Range Membership for those whodon’t currently have golf privileges. Lastly regardinggolf, I hope you get the chance when it warms up totry our new golf scooter. This will indeed be a newfun way to get around the course faster and enjoythe beautiful outdoors even more.
Repairs are on track at the pool complex includingcracks, some new furniture and modifications to thefront pergola which will bring a fresh new look thiscoming spring.
Our 2018 calendar of events was handed out at theMember Meeting and will be loaded to our websitein January, so plan early to attend your favoriteevents throughout the year.
Please make sure to congratulate Theresia on herpromotion to Assistant General Manager. She willadd to her current responsibility of Membership andEvents, the oversight of Food & Beverage. Alongwith that change we welcome Kimberly Brown to theclub as our new Food & Beverage Manager. SeeKimberly’s bio where she was most recently workingat Kiawah’s Sanctuary in F&B.

Congratulations Theresia!
We are pleased to announce the promotion ofTheresia Ware to Assistant General Manager atLegend Oaks Golf & Tennis Club!
Theresia joined the Legend Oaks team in 2012 asManager of Membership and Events. Over the lastfive years she has developed incentive programs togrow our membership, with an emphasis on gettingto know each member, welcoming them to the Leg-end Oaks family. Theresia has taken the lead incontinuing to improve our youth programs includingour Junior Sports Summer Camp and Swim Instruc-tion Program.
Theresia has expanded Legend Oaks events toinclude Dine & Dance, Summer Music Series, Holi-day Parties, Nine & Wine, Song Trivia, as well as heramazing annual Mother’s Day Brunch and EasterBrunch, complete with an Easter Egg Hunt for thechildren! She gives each event at the club her per-sonal touch including fabulous decorations andhand made center pieces capturing the theme of theday.
Countless brides have seen their dream weddingcome to life under Theresia’s direction. LegendOaks was voted “The Knot Best of Weddings” fourtimes earning the distinction of “The Knot Best ofWeddings Hall of Fame”, and just announced by TheKnot, Legend Oaks has received our 5th award for2018! In addition, Theresia has created parties rang-ing from elegant and elaborate to casual and fun formembers and guests celebrating birthdays, gradua-tions, wedding and baby showers. Whatever theoccasion, Theresia has always made it special.
In her new capacity as Assistant General Manager,Theresia will assume complete responsibility of allFood & Beverage Operations as well as additionalbusiness administrative functions.

Welcome Our New Food & Beverage Manager
We are pleased to announce the addition of Kimberly Brown as Food and Beverage Manager at LegendOaks Golf and Tennis Club! Kimberly has more than seven years experience in the Food and Beverageindustry, most recently at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
Kimberly started as a bartender/server and quickly rose to the position of manager at Damon’s Bar and Grillin Hazelton, PA. After making the move to Myrtle Beach, SC, she became a Certified Trainer for the Frontof the House where she was responsible for training all new employees at Landry’s, Inc.
Kimberly next moved into the area of Banquet and Events, where she oversaw buffet preparations whileworking with team members to ensure guests received food and beverage service that exceeded theirexpectations. She quickly moved into the position of Event Service Coordinator at Hilton Worldwide-Kingston Plantation, working with the Director of Catering and Events, the Front Office, F & B Engineeringand other departments to ensure both large and small meetings and conferences met the clients needs.Kimberly also gained experience coordinating onsite wedding preparation and execution between manag-ers and vendors, propelling her to the position of Banquet Manager/Wedding Planner. She worked closelywith brides from planning to executing every detail of their wedding. Kimberly had complete responsibilityfor managing the staff, inventory and food ordering along with all executive, administrative and operationalfunctions of events. After making the move to Summerville, SC, Kimberly worked for Kiawah Island GolfResort in banquet operations before accepting the position at Legend Oaks.
Kimberley, originally from Sugarloaf, PA, is married to Rob Brown, who is the General Manager at PlanetFitness in Summerville, SC. She loves to spoil her dachshund Oliver and will gladly show you pictures ofhim! Kim has started a new hobby recently, sewing personalized dog collars, which she really enjoys.
Please give Kimberly a warm welcome and she encourages everyone to tell her what she can do to makeyour dining experience more pleasurable!

Hello to all our wonderful members and guests fromthe Food and Beverage Department and welcome to2018!As we start the new year, we are always looking toimprove, and we are open minded and listening toall suggestions. We will be placing a suggestion boxin the Bistro and encourage all of our members tosubmit their suggestions.We will continue to feature our Super Happy HourTuesday nights. Tuesdays are the perfect night tobring your neighbors and friends to enjoy food anddrinks from 4 to 7pm. Prime Rib night will continueon the third Thursday of every month, as well. Res-ervations are encouraged. Please call the Bistro toreserve your time.It’s never too early to start thinking about your SuperBowl plans. We’ll have the big game playing on all ofour TVs, food and beer specials during the game!Another big event to plan for is Valentine’s Day. Itwill be here before you know it and we have youcovered.
