IN THIS ISSUE
As Service First Federal Credit Union has embarked on its 85th year of
service, we are pleased to announce that Service First continues to
maintain its place as a premier financial institution in South Dakota with
the highest level of service.
As I reflect back over the past decade since you honored me by allowing
me to serve as your President, all I can say is wow, what a decade. We as
a nation and as a Credit Union, endured the most turbulent financial
crisis since the Great Depression. Your Credit Union was fortunate and
thankful to have such member loyalty that endured, and grew during
that trying time.
In fact, your Credit Union grew over 10,000 new members, and 70M in
new assets during that period of time. As of December 31, 2018, the
Credit Union has reached 19,103 members, with a total of 162M in
assets.
Even more important, thanks to your dedication and loyalty, the Credit
Union’s safety and soundness levels have never been higher.
It is with great pleasure we reported to our board of directors, as well as
the National Credit Union Administration, that your Credit Union had
another record consumer loan growth. Your Credit Union posted a
record $141M loan portfolio with a loan growth ratio of 22%. We truly
thank every member for their continuing loyalty and support of Service
First.
As always, we value your membership and want you to contact us if
there is anything, we can do for you, or that can improve your Credit
Union. You are the reason we exist, and we thank you for choosing
Service First as your trusted financial intuition!
Again, thank you for allowing me to serve your Credit Union as the
President / CEO.
Respectfully submitted,
Travis Kasten, President
