PENN STATE UNIVERSITY FELLOW­SHIP IN CARDIOVASCULAR/INTER.VENTIONAL RADIOLOGY-ThePenn State University Department ofRadiology offers one- or two-year fellow­ships in Cardiovascular/InterventionalRadiology, with a primary purpose ofpreparing graduates for academic ca­reers in the subspecialty of CV/1 Radiol­ogy. Fellows will receive training in allaspects of diagnostic and interventionalangiography (including Neuro- and Pul­monary Angiography), percutaneousand combined percutaneous/peroral bil­iary interventions, genitourinary inter­ventions, central and peripheral venog­raphy (with IVC filter placement),traumatic and oncological emboliza­tions, foreign body retrievals, and com­plex biopsy and drainage and stentingprocedures (under multiple imagingmodalities). Clinical responsibility at theInstructor level is required, necessitatinga Pennsylvania Medical License, Univer­sity Hospital Medical Staff Privileges,and ABR eligibility (at time of applica­tion) and certification (during first pro­gram year). Independent original re­search is expected and is amply funded,both in time and money.
