The students will review key concepts from the previous lesson and then apply them to the images of the lives of women during the great Depression.

This will be a large group activity. Distribute handout and review each of the four images

individually Think-pair-share ( 2 min) Review as a class, making sure they have pulled out

key points For homework, students would go online and select an

image from this period and answer the same questions

1. What do you see in the picture? (close reading)

3. Who is the woman in the center of the picture? (close reading)

4. Why are the men listening to her? (contextualization)
