Chiripal Industries

Chiripal Group, Incorporated in the year 1972, is a professionally managed business entitycomprising of a team of professionals from different fields and expertise.

The Group, which had started with a few power looms, has evolved into multi-activity, multi-

product Textile House that produces fiber to apparel under one roof.

The diversified business in the fields of Petrochemicals, Spinning, Weaving, Knitting, FabricProcessing, Chemicals, Infrastructure and Educational Initiatives offer employment to more than

20000 people associated directly or indirectly with the Group.

With clear focus and ambitious growth plans on the anvil, the Group has been gearing itself to

take on the future challenges.

With the existing manufacturing facilities, the group is capable of handling a wide range of

fabrics irrespective of the count, construction or blend. The group has various divisions likeWoven Processing, Knits, Polar Fleece, Flocking, Embroidery and Chemicals with which it is

able to cater to the needs of varied customer groups.

In addition, the group has also integrated facilities to manufacture Partially Oriented Yarn(POY), Fully Drawn Yarn thus ensuring regular supply of raw materials, required for

manufacturing various fabrics. The group has further diversified by setting new projects for manufacturing Bottom Weights, Denims, Home Furnishings and Cotton Knitted.

The group has always focused on delivering the best products by continuous R & D, defined

processes, stringent quality policies and state-of-the-art technologies. The manufacturingfacilities are supported by dedicated, experienced and competent experts to ensure that the

products or services delivered to the customers meet or exceed their expectation.

Chiripal Group of Industries aims to target Overseas as well as Indian markets by manufacturingfabrics in one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities.

Screen Printing

First we went to the printing division, where we saw screen printing. It was really a very good

experience, where we saw that design were made in Photoshop and not in CAD. And then filmswere generated out of it each color had different films in it.

Rotary screen printing involves a series of revolving screens, each with revolving screens, each

with a stationary squeegee inside which forces the print paste onto the fabric. Twenty or morecolors can be printed at the same time. The process is much quicker and more efficient than flat

screen printing. Since the 1970s it has grown to dominate the textile printing.

Screen Printing is the method whereby an open, but closely meshed screen, mounted in a

wooded frame, is placed in contact with the fabric to be printed, and the print paste forced

through the screen by a squeegee which means implement edged with rubber for sweeping water

from the surfaces. The design is created by painting out or otherwise making opaque portion of

the screen, thus preventing the print paste from passing through. Those areas where the print

paste does pass through will register as the printed pattern.

printing is the fastest method of screen printing, with production of 2500 to 3500 yard per hour.

Seamless, perforated metal or plastic screens are used. The largest rotary screens have a

circumference of about 40 inches, and the maximum repeat size is 40 inches. This method isslowly replacing roller printing.

There are three methods for Screen printing

y  Hand screen

y  Automatic Flat bed printing

y  Rotary screen roller printing

Automatic Screen Printing

Automatic screen printing (or flat bed printing) is like hand screen printing except that the

process is automated and therefore faster. Instead of the long table on which the fabric to

be printed is spread (as in hand screen printing) the fabric is moved to the screens on a

wide rubberized belt. Like hand screen printing it is an intermittent rather than a

continuous process. In this instance the fabric moves to the screen5 then stops for the

screen squeegee action (which is done automatically). After the squeegee action the fabric

moves again to the next screen frame. The rate of production is about 500 yards per hour.

Automatic screen printing is utilized for whole rolls of fabric only. Cut garment parts

cannot ordinarily be printed by this method.

Automatic screen printing as a commercial process is declining in favor of the more

 productive rotary screen methods.

Rotary screen Roller Printing:

Rotary printing is different from the other method of screen printing in several aspects. Rotary

printing is continues like roller printing. The fabric being printed is moved on a wide rubber belt

under the rotary screen cylinders, which are in continues movement. Rotary printing is different

from the other methods of screen printing in several important respects. Rotary printing is

continuous like roller printing. The fabric being printed is moved on a wide rubber belt under the

rotary screen cylinders which are in continuous movement. Rotary screen printing is the fastest

method of screen printing with production of 2500 to more than 3500 yards per hour. Seamless

perforated metal or plastic screens are used. The largest rotary screens have a circumference of

about 40 inches and the maximum repeat size of patterns is therefore about 40 inches. This

method is slowly replacing roller printing.
