Welcome guests! Welcome to First Baptist Church! It’s good to have you! Come say, “Hi!”
at our Welcome Desk in the church atrium so we can learn a little bit more
about each other. Have questions? We’ve got answers, refreshments in
our First Link area… and a gift for you too!
While you are here…
Connect over coffee Our First Link area is stocked with fresh coffee, donuts, and other snacks
every Sunday morning. Feel free to have a seat, mingle, and enjoy the
refreshments.
Connect through worship We worship Sunday mornings at 9:30AM and on Sunday evenings at
6:00PM. Our morning service follows a more traditional pattern of worship,
while our evening service reflects more modern patterns of worship.
Connect through fellowship and study We have Connection Groups meeting every Sunday morning and
throughout the week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Our
Connection Groups are a great place to begin new relationships through
Bible Study and mission together with other Christians. Flip to the back
page for a full list of current Connection Groups and when they gather.
Connect through membership We’d love to have you as a part of our church family. Speak with a
member of our pastoral staff for more info or email us at [email protected].
Connect the whole family Children of all ages are welcome to join us during worship, but we also
offer childcare and children’s groups for all ages. Stop by our welcome
desk for directions. Need a place to nurse? Find the privacy you need in
our Children’s Minister’s office, just past the church nursery.
LITTLE GREEN CARDS Parents please return the green cards to the box on the Welcome Desk
with information on your child. These allow us to keep up to date with
addresses, phone numbers and allergies. Please help by returning those
as soon as possible (If you need one we have more).

STEWARDSHIP CARDS God has richly blessed First Baptist with many opportunities for ministry.
Pease read the Stewardship insert for just a few areas of blessing which we
celebrate. All of this is possible because of the generosity of you, the
congregation!
October is the time in which we receive our 2017 stewardship giving cards.
This is an anticipated ability to give for the next year which then helps the
Budget team create the congregational budget for 2017. Please take
time to complete the card you find on the insert. Completed cards may
be placed in the offering plate or deposited at the Welcome Desk.

JOYFUL SINGERS This Sunday, we are delighted to welcome our Joyful Singers to the choir
loft to share joy, as well as their music with us! They will then shift the focus
of their singing to Christmas. If you are interested in generating some
extra Christmas spirit this year, please come to the Choir Room at 2:00 PM
on Tuesday to learn the musical, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” with us.
Many of the songs are familiar, and I think you’ll find that the music is easy
to learn-whether or not you can read music-and that you fit right in!
Please join us and find out for yourself!!!

LOST AND FOUND Coat season has arrived! In order to make room in our closets, a lost and found table will be located in the front hallway. Unclaimed items will be donated to our local charities on Monday, October 31st.
TRUNK OR TREAT OCTOBER 30th 6:00-7:30 PM - FBC Church Parking Lot On this evening the FBC family will be hosting an event where families can bring their children to receive candy in a safe environment. We need help to make this event a success. We need people to host trunks, bring candy and donate money to purchase candy. Last year we had OVER 625 children PLUS their families come through our event. What a blessing it was for all of us to see the faces of the children and the appreciation from the families as we shared Jesus. Will you join in? You may pick up a form for a trunk at the Welcome Desk, put candy in the basket in the atrium or place money in offering plate with note for Trunk or Treat. Thank you!!!
BETH MOORE-6 WEEK VIDEO SERIES No registration, no books, no homework! Six-Week series beginning
October 20th through December 1ST, will meet on Thursdays at 9:30 AM in
the Life Preservers Classroom.
