Policies & ProceduresGeneral InformationIf a class or workshop is cancelled, students will be notified at least three business days prior to the first scheduled class or workshop. If you do not hear from the CAC, your class will be running as scheduled. The CAC reserves the right to make changes in programs, schedules, and instructors, and to cancel classes due to low enrollment. The CAC reserves the right to cancel or refuse the registration of a student in a class or workshop with no refund, if participation by the student is deemed disruptive or interferes with the learning atmosphere and enjoyment of the class/workshop.

Class Refund PolicyA $12.50 non-refundable processing fee is included in each class tuition. 100% of tui-tion (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested at least one week prior to the class/workshop; 75% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested after the first class; 50% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested after the second class; no refunds will be made if requested after the third class. This does not apply to one-time workshops.

Holidays and Inclement Weather PolicyNo classes January 18 or May 30, no Ballet Theatre of Maryland classes Monday, February 15th - Saturday, February 20th. The Chesapeake Arts Center classes follow the Anne Arundel County Public Schools emergency closings protocols. For the safety of our students and parents, classes are cancelled when AACPS closes due to inclement weather. For the most current information about closings go to the AACPS website, www.aacps.org, (where the latest news will be posted at the top of the screen) or call the snow phone at 410-222-5110 or 1-800-893-7080. When possible, the CAC will post info regarding cancellations on the CAC website and Facebook page.

Thanks to support from Anne Arundel Community Development Services, 25% to 75% of tuition assistance is avail-able for qualifying residents in Anne Arundel County. Priority is given to applicants residing in Brooklyn Park, Glen Burnie, Severn, and surrounding communities (es-pecially 21225, 21060, 21061, 21144, and the AA County portion of 21226). lessons.

Once a student is registered for a time slot, they retain that weekly time for as long as they continue lessons, and are billed monthly.

Private lessons are taught one-on-one with a qualified

instructor, and are typically scheduled for 30 minutes, once

per week.

Fees ~ A $12.50 non-refundable processing fee is included in each class tuition.100% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested at least 1 week prior to the class/workshop; 75% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested after the first class; 50% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested after the second class; no refunds will be made if requested after the third class. This does not apply to one-time workshops.

Cancellations ~ If a class or workshop is cancelled, students will be notified at least 3 business days prior to the first scheduled class or workshop. If you do not hear from CAC, your class will be running as scheduled. CAC reserves the right to make changes in programs, schedules, and instructors, and to cancel classes due to low enrollment.

Student Behavior Policy ~ CAC reserves the right to cancel or refuse the registration of a student in a class or workshop with no refund, if participation by the student is deemed disruptive or interferes with the learning atmosphere and enjoyment of the class/workshop.

Photograph Release ~ I the undersigned ( ___ DO ) ( ___ DO NOT ) grant CAC the right to photograph me or my child during classes and performances, and to use my or their image, photograph, silhouette and other reproductions of their physical likeness in connection with ongoing CAC publicity. I agree that I will not assert or maintain against CAC their successors, assigns and licensees, any claim, action, suit or demand of any kind or nature whatsoever, including but not limited to those grounded upon invasion of privacy, rights of publicity or other civil rights, or for any reason in connection with CAC’s authorized use of my child’s physical likeness for CAC publicity purposes.
