Location

Himachal Pradesh is snuggled in the western part of the Himalayas at an elevation ranging from 300-7000 m above sea level. The state is bordered by the states of Jammu & Kashmir (north), Punjab (west & south-west), and Haryana & Uttarakhand (south-east). It also shares an international border with the Tibet Autonomous Region on the eastern side.
