การบรหารสนคาคงคลงมวตถประสงคหลกอย 2 ประการใหญ คอ1. สามารถมสนคาคงคลงบรการลกคาในปรมาณทเพยงพอ และทนตอ
ความตองการของลกคาเสมอ เพอสรางยอดขายและรกษาระดบของสวนแบงตลาดไว
2. สามารถลดระดบการลงทนในสนคาคงคลงตาทสดเทาทจะทาได เพอทาใหตนทนการผลตตาลงดวย

• ตอบสนองความตองการของลกคาทประมาณการไวในแตละชวงเวลา ทงในและนอกฤดกาล โดยธรกจตองเกบสนคาคงคลงไวในคลงสนคาในและนอกฤดกาล โดยธรกจตองเกบสนคาคงคลงไวในคลงสนคา
• รกษาการผลตใหมอตราคงทสมาเสมอ • ปองกนการเปลยนแปลงราคา
• ทาใหธรกจไดสวนลดปรมาณจากการจดซอครงละมากๆ• ปองกนของขาดมอดวยสนคาเผอขาดมอ (Safety Stock) เมอเวลารอ
