    Our Instructors

    Glenn Minuth is now retired after 34 years as a civil servant for the Department ofDefense. He worked at various duty stations where his positions included cartogra-pher; instructor, National Defense University; IT specialist; and IT projectmanager/team leader/division chief. Glenns bachelors and graduate degrees arein geography with specialties in cartography, geomorphology, remote sensingand geology. Others areas of academic focus included biogeography, weather/climate and pedology. His graduate research emphasis was on volcanic mud-flows in the central Sierra Nevada foothills in California. For more than 20 years,Glenn has been a part-time instructor in geography and geology in Cochise College credit and non-credit programs at multiple campuses where he con-ducts field trips and lectures in the areas of military history, history, ecology,weather/climate, geography and geology. He also offers similar programs tovarious eco-tourism groups and local clubs.

    Macaela Cashman moved to Seattle 23 years ago to complete her doctorate in anthro-pology and education. Macaela sought to relieve her additional stress and experiencedyoga. At this point she knew she had found her calling and a path for her life. Yogabrought her peace, joy and an overall sense of well-being. Macaela completed teachertraining programs with national and international leaders in the field to earn a teachercertification. For the past 15 years she has been teaching yoga in Sierra Vista, both pri-vately and at Cochise College.

    Macaela is dedicated to daily practice and enthusiastically teaches yoga as a path togain heightened awareness. She views teaching as an inspiration and has taught numerous classes at the college level. She states, There is a synergy to learning in agroup and teaching yoga and meditation. Passing on what has brought such richnessto my life is the most rewarding experience I can imagine.

    Charla Henney is a talented, innovative seamstress. Her mom taught her to hand-sew at age 4, and she started machine sewing at age 6. She continued to developher sewing skills and was making most of her clothes by age 12.

    In 1952, with her earnings as a telephone operator, Charlas mom bought a brand-new Singer sewing machine. Charla still has and uses this machine today.

    Sewing relaxes Charla and it indulges her creativity. She takes pleasure in learningnew sewing techniques as well as ways to make sewing easier.
